Just how much longer will the BBC and ITV keep trotting out the pointless coverage?

Bad things?  I'm not particularly republican, but the attitude of some people on here and in real life is enough turn one to that side.  She was 96, she wasn't your gran.  What on earth are people expecting?  Yes she's been in a constant in my life as most peoples'.  But come on; it's all getting seriously mawkish.

As an aside, I lived abroad when Diana died.  The perception of the UK was that we all collectively lost our minds over an ex-princess/media manipulator's untimely demise.  It was a tragedy for her children and immediate family, not the nation.

Well said.

Macron just walked in with his wife through the crowds. (No one would know who he was ). The king & queen of Spain came in on a coach . Joe Biden went round the back in his Beast mobile to the tradesmans entrance.  Perhaps he went round there to see where the bbq was being set up and get his order for a triple whopper in early.

OK. Not much response on that one So ..the Queen's remaining dog nicknamed Lissy - real name: Wolferton Drama - the cocker spaniel currently lives with her trainer Ian Openshaw. It is not known whether she will remain with him or will be moved to a different home.

So is Kate likely to add this one to her pack.

The navy have only done it for over 100 yrs....in commentary they said the horses were doing it for a funeral messed up and someone randomly said the navy boys were standing nearby and could probably do better....the rest is history!!

It was at Queen Victoria's 1901 funeral where the hearse horses refused to move (apparently the cold had got to them) and Prince Louis of Battenberg ordered a nearby party of Royal Navy ratings to sort out the situation and, as you say, they did the job so well, they have always been asked to do encores.

Yes. And then drive off leaving the last one out the shop left behind and having to pay for the lot and a taxi then to boot! Which my late grandfather's "woman's" son in law, Keith Bowman and his fellow players did once to one of their team when he was a professional rugby league player for Hunslet.

As stated below he's only having the two corgi's. Apparently his ex Fergie who still lives with him used to team up with the Queen every morning even after the divorce to have chats about hounds and the wind etc and walk in Winsor park.

Thats the corgis.....he gave them to her for company after the duke passed on understanding he would have them back in this very event.....

This .  But there has been nothing on the Cocker spaniel that the queen won a gundog trial with.  I wish to offer an abandoned spaniel the comforts of my home and the odd best quality bacon sandwich Etc. 😍😊  apparently it is with it's trainer.  But I wondered if the lovely Kate would add it to her pack.
