steve_b_wales
We have all seen many adverts on television asking for donations to various charities, and I don't doubt that they are all worthy causes. I've just seen one on TV with Jo Brand doing the voice over, and 'she' is asking 'us' to donate £29:07. I can't remember what the charity was though. But, asking for that amount! If 'she' said 'Or what you can afford' would have made it better. I thought the Salvation Army's advert, asking for £19:00 (then 'or what you can afford) at a later advert, was bad. (Their CEO earns £159:000 per year)Nuffield Health's CEO earns £780:000. My wife and I. between us, donate a fair amount of money to various charities, including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Dog's Trust, RNLI and a few more. bruno22rf
I think it's crisis, but if you are homeless simply stowaway on a ferry to France then enter the country illegally via a small boat, you can then have everything you want. PS, dont tell anyone that you are English, you will get sod all.
12gauge82
I don't give to any large charities as I simply don't trust them, I do donate to worthy causes run on small scale as I know where my money is going. It makes me laugh when I see adverts telling us that the ice is melting and without my 3 quid a month polar bears will go extinct, how exactly three pounds a month will stop that happening I really don't know.
