Stephen-H
As above anyone know what would create these burrows? Walking the dog on a local field noticed a lot of fresh sand had been dug out any idea's? There used to be a lot of rabbits on this land years ago but lucky to see one or two every so often now. This backs onto a railway track
Old Boggy
Badgers would be my guess. Too much earth removed to be rabbits.
miki
I'd guess badgers too

Keith RW
When out and about on one of my permissions many years ago I managed to put my boot in a dug hole that I discovered to be full of **** , at first i blamed the keeper 😁, later to be informed that it would be Badgers that do this to mark their territory, have a look for some of those scattered around the area but don't put your foot in any if poss

Longbower
Fox den I would say , simply by the shape , taller and thinner {Rugby ball on end} than a badger sett{rugby ball lying down} . Dictated by the shape of the animal.. And as stated , there would be a badger bog nearby if it was brock.
