Dental Implants

Recommended Posts

A very good friend of mine is trying to find a company who does the above, but doesn't charge a fortune. He had many years of bad luck and lived rough for most of them, hence his very poor dental hygiene. He doesn't have many teeth left and what he does have are falling apart. He's looked into maybe going abroad to have this done (full top and bottom implants) but has heard of so many horror stories. One company near to where he lives quoted him 'at least' £16:000 which he doesn't have.

Does anyone know of a good successful and reputable company abroad - maybe Turkey, who has either had this procedure done or knows someone?

                   Thanks.

I think if the currant trend continues with the lack of N H S dentists then several people are going to be in the same boat as your friend , one of the main talking points in the General election was dentistry , we have heard what they propose to do but at the present time we are getting nowhere and even those lucky ones who have got a N H S dentist the appointments are now down to one a year , yes one a year

Hello, Is he Unemployed or on Benefits ??

He's working, but I know he is not earning a great deal, and is trying to get his life back together again. He hasn't got a criminal record either. I know of a guy who's 'girlfriend' is on benefits (P.I.P.) (nothing wrong with her of course!) and she's getting all her teeth fixed free of charge and has also jumped the queue!

Implants are only available on the nhs in exceptional circumstances. ie young girl gets kicked in the mouth and it’s likely to cause mental distress not to have teeth sorted.

on the nhs dentures are available, are a band 3 and cost £319.10 for top and bottom.

an alternative could be flexible dentures which are not nhs but could be around £1k

” Turkey teeth” for your friend is called all on 4 which are 4 mini implants holding in dentures ( 4 top 4 bottom), uk price is usually around £28k

Steve had mine done in this country at Bridgend  but it won't be cheap the trouble with going abroad if you got a problem our dentists won't touch them at a guess i would say top and bottom would be around 20 k but that is only a guess

Not cheap but probably about the price of Turkey given you will need three trips. Despite being a training centre its very impressive and just means there are probably more dentists involved than the normal one on one. I would recommend.

Dentale is a training centre for UK Dentists out at Portishead and also in Shrewsbury. Cost for an implant £1500.
