Cleaning dogs teeth ?.

Hi gang.

             Apart from brushing what is the best way to keep a dogs teeth clean. Someone suggested raw chicken wings.

             Any ideas chaps ?.

Our 2 have a dentastix stick every night before bed, the vets always comment on how clean their teeth are.

I put plaque off in my dogs food. Seems legit

We also use plaque off, in addition my daughter in law uses a dentists scraper to ease build up off teeth whilst one of us holds the dog. Chews etc like rawhide do seem to work

Friend (who's a vet) gives his dogs frozen tripe strip's.....they line up for it.

Non load bearing bones from medium sized animals. Deer, sheep, pigs etc.

We use sea jerky twists(Dry fish skin) does the same job but better for the dog

Mine get bones to chew , chicken bones , wings pigs trotters ect as part of there diet and there just past 8 years old and there teeth are spotless

I also use fish skin - called 'flatties'.  She loves them.

Used seaweed powder, available online,  works well for my dog, just add gradually to food.

This is good advice, although slight risk of damage to teeth ect, I think the benefit far outweighs the risk, antler is another good alternative.
