harrycatcat1
I bought some fly catcher ribbons from Tesco about a month or so ago and they are rubbish. I hung one up so it's been up 3 weeks plus and despite flies coming in the house not one has gone onto the fly paper. Do other folks bother about flies? My Mrs is paranoid about them, "filthy things are in again" etc. Does anyone use anything like this 🤔 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354861614781?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1sa1pct3rxo&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=v2P7Ib7BQsi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
JKD
Never used this type of thing/stuff,,,, just use a [hand-shaped] fly-swatter 🫲😆 We've both probably upset member jall25 now 🤷♂️🙄😆
enfieldspares
I lack the hand and eye coordination needed to use a fly swat with 100% success. I bought some flypapers on Friday from the local Co-op. One caught so far.

Eddie B
Only thing worse than a hape of flies in the house, and that's a hape a them yokes, full of dead flies hanging round the house. Use a fly swatter. Not many flies around these days, compared to years ago. Only see the odd few in the house, from time to time.

Eddie B
Don't think those electric USB things are any good. Just read the description, and it would be useless for flies.

oowee
We are in the country close to a lake and huge bird colonies. Flys and other insects are a problem. Fly tapes are at best messy. I bought a plug in chip shop style purple tube zapper like this https://www.nisbets.co.uk/nisbets-essentials-commercial-fly-killer-16w/fd499?vatToggle=incvat&cm_mmc=PLA-_-18129508709-_--_-&cm_mmca1=go_18129508709____c_&kpid=go_cmp-18129508709_adg-_ad-__dev-c_ext-_prd-FD499_sig-CjwKCAjwhvi0BhA4EiwAX25uj_JXdlGsza66F11tvizzTfINdehbnu6Ltmq6UCQ9nK-_5-_VREir6xoC8UUQAvD_BwE&gad_source=1 It works a treat but it will not get fruit fly's. For them i simply put a slice of apple in the bottom of the catching tray and they get zapped milling about.

That looks the dogs dodahs but I was looking for something smaller and portable to put in the living room like the link I put up presumably works on the same principle as yours with a blue light. 2 hours ago, oldypigeonpopper said: Hello, What about those Sticky Fly Tapes ????? Bigbob
Try your local pound shop and get a fly bag hang it outside near where the problem is , I use them each side of my ferret hutches but my daughter asked for one for outside her patio doors as if she leaves them open for the dog to come and go she was getting lots of flies in the house , problem sorted
