They are always finding refugees with no work permits in the many shops around here that are owned by people from everywhere apart from the UK , in fact around the town now it is hard to find a shop owned by a English person , if they all went home the town would then become a ghost town . Now, it is rarely mentioned. Presumably the powers that be are busily engaged in setting up the promised new command, aimed at snaring the criminal gangs, and working with our European neighbours to reduce the number arriving on our shores. Is it too soon to expect some form of impact? Another question - where are these migrants now arriving being housed. In hotels?
