You would have thought a few bodies would have been washed up ashore around our coastline , you see some of those rubber boat packed like Sardines and very little free board above the water .

They are always finding refugees with no work permits in the many shops around here that are owned by people from everywhere apart from the UK , in fact around the town now it is hard to find a shop owned by a English person , if they all went home the town would then become a ghost town .     MM

That figure is twice the size of the population of Swaffham.............and this has been happening for years....and we are only at the end of july

WE ARE OVER-RUN

to put it in pespective......Swaffham was already a well known settlement in the Domesday book of 1086...and it has taken all these years to support a population of just over 8000

which is half what have come in the rubber boats this year...........the physicle asspects ofthis country are being destroyed

Pity they don't open Lydd for some extreme range target practice for the military.

The figures quoted are only what those who are counting want you to know. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't double.

it is the one subject that EVERYBODY....whatever age is always talking about...........and it is the one subject the govt refuses to talk about

"for the people ..by the people".............well thats a load of bleedin' rubbish for a start.............(once saw the Gettysburg address in its complete form on the back of a toilet door in Norwich...think it was the top of the market place....)

whoever wrote it ...

  1. had a lot of time on their hands
  2. was constipated...

I think it strange that when the Conservatives were in power, the news on TV always seemed to have an item on how many migrants had arrived in the UK in rubber boats. Now, it is rarely mentioned. Presumably the powers that be are busily engaged in setting up the promised new command, aimed at snaring the criminal gangs, and working with our European neighbours to reduce the number arriving on our shores. Is it too soon to expect some form of impact? Another question - where are these migrants now arriving being housed. In hotels? If so this rather makes a mockery of the criticism aimed at the last administration.

But the MSM are on side with this lot.

One thing for sure, we will never ever know the real tally?

  • 2 weeks later...

"Home Secretary Yvette Cooper says today's Channel disaster is a "horrifying and deeply tragic incident".

Cooper says she is being kept updated on the situation and pays tribute to the French rescue teams "who undoubtedly saved many lives, but sadly could not save everyone".

"The gangs behind this appalling and callous trade in human lives have been cramming more and more people onto increasingly unseaworthy dinghies, and sending them out into the Channel even in very poor weather.

"They do not care about anything but the profits they make, and that is why - as well as mourning the awful loss of life - the work to dismantle these dangerous and criminal smuggler gangs and to strengthen border security is so vital and must proceed apace," she adds."

What a DAMNED SHAME the French Authorities fail to stop the boats launching in to such danger......................
