discobob
Well, Clarkson, May and Hammond have stepped down. A very good last special episode. My eldest and I planned it, closed the doors and watched all two hours of it. It used to be a highlight of my week, Sunday night, sat there with him, watching Top Gear, laughing our heads off. As he is just over 21, so, this has been all of his life so far. We both had a tear in our eyes at the end and we had a Dad/son non-BBC hug 😂 and I thanked him for being my partner in crime for all the years. Was it the show or our bonding through the show - who knows - but it has been a blast 😀 I know the Trinity can be devisive on here - you are free to not like them just as well as being allowed to be absolutely wrong about it 😂😂
ditchman
do you remember when Clarkson was in cartoon form in Viz ..............
TIGHTCHOKE
I'm sure it was very enjoyable, since I binned the TV licence, I haven't watched anything and don't go looking for it either. I was fortunate to be taken to see them filming an episode in 2018 following my minor stroke. A day I shall always remember.
discobob
@TIGHTCHOKE somewhat jealous. We did apply for tickets but then Jezza didn’t get his steak!!
bruno22rf
I think it had run it's course, there are only so many times that unlikely events can be regurgitated before a show becomes boring and predictable.
Mr.C
Im afraid Clarkson being an ****, Hammond being a cheeky little chappie and May being the butt of all jokes wore too thin along time ago for me. Horses for courses, I won't miss what I haven't watched. Edited September 14 by Mr.C
London Best
I reckon it would be great to have Clarkson along for a day’s shooting. Very entertaining.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, not being a petrol head if that is the right word but having seen how Clarkson operates his business not giving a flying fig of local people after buying the Pub in a lovely village by the river Windrush with now residents having so much disruption with 100s of evading people Clarkson would not be on my list as a guest gun, I was on a shoot some time back and a well know BBC entertainer was shooting , he was a very pleasant person,

Used to do a carvery back then But wasn’t the pub up for sale and not getting much interest? The alternative might have been developers and houses?? Look what they done with Cartoontown and all the houses they built there!

Hello, Houses in Carterton is much different than a Pub in a small village which cannot cater for the hoards of people and cars disrupting the life of residents in Asthall,
Vince Green
They should have given up a few years ago when they were at the top of their game. (Always leave them wanting more) Instead they didn't know when they had topped out and were becoming tired and clichéd. Now they are a bit same old same old But they are still a million times better than the t0ssers that tried to replace them. They really are rubbish
Gordon R
Vince - I believe you nailed it. I found them very entertaining most of the time, but there were the cliches and forced humour on occasions. That said, from the dire Chris Evans, to Flintoff, McGuiness etc, the whole series of replacements were awful. Clarkson has been a decent advocate for the farming community and I don't begrudge him opening a pub. You can hardly blame him, although many do, for being too successful.
