Yellow Bear
Any reasonable contact adhesive is what a cobbler would use, in fact how they were made in the first place. Just make sure you let both faces dry for the required time before joining.

Jonty
I’ve used loctite shoe glue a few times - it works well. One thing I would reccomend is to use masking tape or similar to mask the leather upper where it meets the sole, then when you squeeze the two, together, you can wipe off any ooze without it making a mess on your shoe. Thank obviously I could not find the masking tape until I packed everything away so made do with some old bandage tape - but it was a fantastic tip. all cleaned thanks ditch’ I also ran the dremmel round with small wire wheel then scotch bright sheep. Had a small test to ensure I had drying time right! Will leave to cure under pressure overnight and then take for test drive later tomorrow thanks guys your all top blokes Edited September 16, 2024 by Agriv8

30-6
There used to be a product called shoe goo, didn't find it much good. Tried epoxy resin, where you mix the glue with the hardener in equal amounts. From a double tube . Seemed to be working on wife's shoes at the moment. Cheap from Poundland
