TIGHTCHOKE
The tickets arrived during the week and the weather forecast was gradually improving, so off to Old Warden I went early on Sunday morning. Arrived and parked in the front row, took the chairs and camera gear and set up in my usual spot. My sponsor arrived and discussed what he would be flying and the awful light levels for photography. I didn't take many photographs, but here are a few that I managed to pull some light in through the lens, I was shooting at rather high ISO levels. The Harvard arrives. The Fury, the yellow undersides helped raise theis from the murk. The collections Sopwith Pup. The wonderful Lysander. A Magister trainer. A Bronco, an American aircraft originally in German service as a target tug. An Se5A a very old and original WW1 aircraft. marsh man
As already said , superb photos and taking the dull weather in consideration you certainly know what you are doing , for those that collect aircraft photo's it seem to be a never ending pastime , I never had a clue there was so many different varieties , even more than Heinze and growing all the time . He was very conscious of how old and fragile the original engine is. In one shot you can see fuel venting from the rear of the top wing. Jaymo
Rather like that Bronco. Looks like I could have some fun with that!
oowee
Awesome. Every so often they do a day where they get out the old man powered aircraft. I was invited as a guest of Cranfield Uni to see the flights. An incredible sight.
