oowee - you have rattled off an impressive list. Were these deals started before Labour took power and but signed off after? Or were they conceived and concluded in the very short period after the election? It seems remarkably quick - bit like the numpty Cooper claiming she had smashed one gang and deported Vietnamese - despite all the work being done before the election.

A lot of the billions of investment starmer has announced where in place before the election

Most of what has been announced is investment to produce the most expensive electricity in the world at record profits for providers, no wonder they are investing.

Sorry to disagree but nothing planned or instituted here in the UK is ever done for the benefit of the ordinary population, it's all about revenue generation and huge profit for the few who controll the means?

Aided and abetted by the cretins who gave away control to the few?

It's maybe a shame there is no crime for such action against the  general population?

What’s the plan for Great British Energy?

Great British Energy is one of the most recognisable and popular of the policies that brought Labour to power in July’s general election. A national energy champion, in contrast to the foreign-owned companies that dominate the UK’s energy scene; a company owned by the people of Britain that will invest in a new generation of renewable energy supply; a plan that will cut the UK’s carbon footprint while reducing household bills.

The company will be led by Jürgen Maier, former UK chief executive of the engineering company Siemens, and a longstanding champion of clean technology. With £8.3bn in initial funding, GBE is one of the government’s few remaining green spending pledges, after Labour’s initial plans for a £28bn a year public investment in a “green industrial strategy” were gutted in February.

Sorry but GBE is yet another Quango with jobs for the boys that will waste every penny it gets and make not a jot of difference to our ever rising bills for intermittent energy supply and security.  Owned by the people of Britain my backside, just paid for by the people of Britain!

Labour didn't come to power because of a single one of their policies, Starmer got less votes than Corbyn.  The jailing today of the woman today for a tweet was purely Political and truly disgusting.

And where does the 8.3 billion come from? Our pockets, and where will future investment come from, again our pockets.

The green tariffs on your fuel bills, that's the money that will be used, and as said billions of it will be syphoned off by quangos and think tanks and any other committee that can get it's paws on it.

We won't get cheaper fuel because the green tarrifs won't be removed.

The press are hinting at a 7p rise in fuel duty the source is supposedly from the treasury, they are saying labour see their chance to stop the 14 yr hold and start increasing the fuel duty year on year.

So much for labour being for the working man, smiling while ripping money out of their pockets.

They haven't been that for years.

They are the party of extravagance, profligacy and over spending - and financing that from a mix of borrowing (on behalf of the public who don't want to borrow) and ripping money out of their pockets (as you phrase it above).

Probably hard to find someone.

Would you like to be working for Milliband?

Depends if you like your 'Gravy' thick and fast flowing. I'm sure there are many who would jump at a chance to get to the Tax payer funded trough.

Thanks for the info.

However I don't believe that it would be allowed to work by established interests?

We suffer from a lack of talent, morals and honesty. Couple that with the allowed interference from the rats behind the scenes this has as much chance of working to the benefit of the people as pink pigs completing a fly past?

As an aside it's good to see here the white elephant of HS2 still alive and sucking the teats dry. It's totally out of control, creaming it into someones pockets.

We can't even stop a few rubber boats despite being told by politicians of all colours that they are on it and it will stop? Great amusement for them I'm sure. Nothing concrete like altering the law to stop it has ever been done? Stop the money, stop the boats, giving our  Herefords a run out?

Anyway I digress. Off out to lurk under a bush somewhere to enjoy the wildlife.
