welsh1
The South Korean President declared Martial law last night, looks like the opposition party may be a bit "north" leaning and trying to undermine the country. All we need is a bit of instability in this part of the world.https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/south-korea-president-yoon-declares-martial-law-2024-12-03/
Yellow Bear
MSM seems to be keeping quiet about the scandals involving him and his wife - this might be the reason the opposition are actively opposing. Some, including the BBC, have said they hold a parliamentary majority.

The move comes as Yoon's People Power Party and the main opposition Democratic Party continue to disagree over next year's budget bill. The above from the BBC website. 12gauge82
Didn't see this one coming. It feels like the world is at the brink at the moment. It wouldn't take much for it all to really kick off.

Russia supplies NK with weapons technology in return for the soldiers and missiles it needs to keep it's war going. Meanwhile Starmer says we won't need to pick sides 🤣. Still it looks like Farage will make it to the Musk payroll. Now marshall law is called off..... 🤣 Edited December 3 by oowee

TIGHTCHOKE
From the BBC News website; "Earlier this morning we reported that President Yoon Suk Yeol's staff had offered to resign en masse following his short-lived decision to declare martial law. We can bring you more on this now - the presidential office has announced that all senior secretaries to the president, as well as his chief of staff, national security adviser, and director of national policy, have all tendered their resignation this morning. Yoon must accept these resignations for them to go into effect and it is not yet clear if he will do so."
Mungler
The South Korean ‘thing’ is one loon and it’ll blow over by the weekend. Everyone derides the Yanks for being the world’s police but if they say ‘pack it in’, in it will be packed. Closer to home, France and Germany are facing collapsing economic backbone industries, France is in serious economic trouble affecting the Euro and serious off the chart political turmoil, we have a cabal of clowns sinking us into recession and still chasing net zero (see the statement today about previously planned to close nuclear reactors being kept on line to prevent blackouts) and yet the most stable looking place right now is the USA with rosey growth outlook - stop spaffing money on NATO and drill baby drill. Incidentally, France is in a €60-80 billion budget hole and their planned budget is what we will be starring at very soon once Labour get properly going. We should all be moving to the states. It’s the only place with the prospect of some good news.

The Middle East is a mess, but always has been, except its always simmering rather than boiling over. Starmer couldn't pick heads or tails. 1 hour ago, Mungler said: The South Korean ‘thing’ is one loon and it’ll blow over by the weekend. That's clearly wrong, everything is great in Europe, USA bad 😅😅 I'm just wondering who the USA will stomp on to show the big Dog is back in charge? Mungler
And we know it must be bad because all the loud remoaners I see on line have started to fall silent as it all dawns upon them that project EU is heading for the rocks. French government gone, and what will follow we wonder? Germany, well on its way to destination ****ed. And with Germany and France going skint and in turmoil, the cracks will appears and others will start packing their bags. Like all things, everything has a tail on it; it will take time yet but this is the start of the end. And Starmer doesn’t have the brain power or humility to chase trade deals with the states and appoint Nigel to be the US liaison. It is absolutely clear our government and the cabinet are just too thick to be left in charge. It’s terrible really but the truth is they’re just not bright enough for the job. I reckon Rachel Reeves will be gone by the end of Feb.
