Dr W
You have some very sweet cars there, I guess the Mk1 Granada 3.3 turbo is a beast. My first couple of cars were mk2 Escorts and they were great first car, could just nip down the scrap yard and get bits and pieces and it's were I learnt basic car mechanics. Got a mk2 golf gti at the moment which I love buit she's getting on a bit and I want to replace with a Range Rover Sport but I think having kids next year will put pay to that plan. Blackpowder
Well Outlaw you sure have had some hairy monsters there. My all time favourite has been the 1977 MGB GT I run as my sole car from 99 to 07. This was my sole car for that period which went fishing , shooting and camping toured the larger part of Scotland, the Lake District , York Dales and Moors. An expensive but unique experience I would not have missed for the world. Blackpowder

Dunkield
I have to dig deep to remember them all but here we go: My own cars: Triumph Herald 12/50 (sold to mate with bad brakes, he then drove it into his birds dads garage door) Mini 850 MG Midget MkIII (modified a bit) Morris Minor Pickup Lotus Seven (bought as a wreck for £250 and rebuilt over 2 years, and then raced) Company Cars: Ford Escort Cavalier's various Golf 8v 1800 Golf 16v 1800 Corrado 16v Golf 8v 2 litre Golf VR6 Of all of those, the ones I miss of the company cars are the Golf VR6 and the Corrado. The one I would have again tomorrow is the Lotus or Caterham as it would be now. I got to drive a few cars when I was 'into it' a handful of Ferrari's and few Porches but none got the adrenaline going anything like the Seven. I will have another, even if I end up hiring one for a weekend from anyone daft enough to let me do that.
Hardy
Hmm we seem to have a bit of a fleet! Current cars Audi A4 Avant 1.9 tdi (me day to day) Morgan 4/4 (my baby) Suzuki Balero estate (the missus' car) Daf 45 7.5 tonne Horsebox Past cars Audi TT 225 (spent far too much time with Audi) VW Polo 1.6 saloon (lovely little motor) Robin Hood S7 (lotus 7 copy based on a cortina - huge fun!!) Honda Civic 1.6 vti (company car - god know how I persuaded them that was a plan ) Citreon BX 1.9 gti (company car - heap of junk!!) Honda Civic 1.5 gti (1st company car - had been a pool car but worked for me) Metro 1.3 (1st car of my own - got to start somewhere I guess) Best of all is the Morgan. Taken it everywhere including salmon fishing trips (essex to Grantown on Spey in one easy run!) & beer runs to France (no problem at customs - after all how many bottles can you cram into one. 2 dozen bottles of champange on the luggage rack was just a bit posy though

Old couples used to come over to me in car parks telling me how lovely it was and how they used to own one it was all very sweet. My favourite though and I make no apologies has to be my first car the Morris Ital. It was my freedom, I never once relied on my parents again after that and even returned the taxi favour to them when they wanted to go out. My Dad bought it for me and when he handed the keys over he told me in no uncertain terms that if I got a speeding ticket or drove irresponsibly or dared to have even one drink and drive he would take it away. He meant it too and I believed him so I never once disobeyed him. I must admit I’m enjoying the MX5 it’s great fun to drive.

Wookie
Not so far back to remember all of mine... 1997 - 1999: Fiat Panda 4x4 D reg. Lovely little car and did me good service through really bad conditions and across a lot of dodgy terrain. 1999 - 2004: Mk2 VW Golf GTi. Reliable (even after the engine blew) and a great car for B roads. Exhaust used to set off alaarms in car parks 2003 - 2004: Vauxhall Omega MV6 Ex-police. 235bhp of family car. Great fun... Until the head gaskets went. Not so great fun taking a complicated V6 apart, but a very comfy car. 2004 - 2005: Rover 620 SLDi. Rubbish. Very uncomfortable, no power and needed a new gearbox 6 weeks after I bought it. But, did 50 mpg so ideal for my commute. Sold on eBay 2005 - 2006: VW Polo Coupe S (B reg). Given to me for free, cam blet went almost exactly a year after I got it... cue nasty noises from valves and a trip to the junkers. 2006 - current: Vauxhall Frontera Dti. Current costing 700 notes to get through the MoT (brake pads, caliper, disks, pipes and wheel bearings). I hope that's it for the next year. Other memorable cars include a Nissan Silvia (E Reg, 1.8l of turbo going to the back wheels, great fun in a damp Tesco car park) and the Suzuki jeep.
