That was enough thank you. 1 Police Officer murdered and countless injuries, some of which were certainly ' life changing'. Entire blocks of shops on fire, total blackout, all street lamps destroyed. Milk floats loaded with petrol bombs, a brick on the accelerator and driven at Police lines. They went on night after night for 3 months. I was on 12 hours shifts, on nights, with no days off for around 6 weeks. Unable to arrest anyone, as that took at least 2 Officers away to deal with it. Basically we just clobbered people then walked forward, trying to regain ground. I had no time for rioters then and I don't have any now. The cause then....to create a 'no go' area where drugs and prostitution could carry on, unhindered. They virtually achieved that too. After all of this, my Colleagues and myself were all then all sent on various courses, to teach us 'not to be racist' ! So, yes, I do struggle 'to see that though'. What I do see almost daily, and I still see a lot of Police Officers, both working and retired, through shooting, are more and more Police Officers getting out of the job, through any means possible. They are fed up too. How can Police Officers be put there to taunt them ? Get real, no rioters.......no Police Officers required to be there. Not much point in a reply to you really Westley, because you'll never be able to see anything through that blue haze that you live behind . I'll bow out now whilst things are still polite. What I will add though . I'm no fan of rioters , but , I fully support the right that we have to peaceful protest in this country . A right that is often ignored by the police , and is being rapidly stolen by the government. 23 minutes ago, Dougy said: In certain areas this was what happened, and then the police moved in as planned while the inside undercover rioter was snuck round the back out of (what they thought was) sight If the police arrest those that break the law then crack on but dont be selective to gain points on the political scoring system. If breaking the law means being arrested where were the police in Surrey when 70 odd itinerants where tearing up farmers crops and chasing hare's both acts were breaking the law, no car tax - no insurance all breaking the law, Oh sorry they got 2 and think its going to make an example. sounds like a line from a Jimmy Carr tour. I watched that video. It was truly despicable, but not altogether surprising, behaviour, from the police.

Not really, the police don't only turn up after it's kicked off. They will attend peaceful protests and it's very easy to have one rule for one protest like blm and another for others. I don't condone any poor behaviour at protests and certainly not riots, but we currently have two tier policing and that is also wrong and will only drive anger. That's our "quota" apparently. There is nowhere to build except farmland or woodland but who is going to live in them? The locals are not going to be able to afford them anymore than they can afford the ones that are already built. There are very few jobs in Cornwall except low paying seasonal jobs and who wants to live on an estate in the middle of nowhere with no shops schools or services? The houses they are building now are timber framed rubbish with tiny rooms and rendered plywood walls. They are just storing up problems for the future because the fear is they are going to dump the homeless and migrants on us. Spreading the load to increase diversity across the country. Londonistan coming to a street near you.
