Well she had no problem with snagging fishes with hooks and sticking spikes through them and letting them trail along helpless to feed bigger fishes.  Not so happy being the one chased down.

Thats a pretty odd response on a fieldsports site …..

Inconsistencies... I  thought that it was female but then changed my mind.   There were loads of sizable fish to catch. ...,,live bait..!!,. what size of fish was he/it trying to catch,?  He was in a kayak.   Was there a real shark in the water.?  Was the shark a real shark or a dummy shark following, being towed along.  It seemed to be keeping constant distance.  I would have been paddling to the shore..... He said that if he did that, that supposed shark MIGHT THINK THAT HE WAS A SEAL.  Wouldn't the shark just take him wherever if that was the case.  I think that this is a setup for YouTube.  If not the kayak would be up for sale.   I'm not that keen on going in the bath let alone going in a kayak in the sea with sharks.  When we went to Mauritius there were fishing trips that they tried to sell me.  One stall/shop had a gantry with half a whale hooked up on it.  this looked like someone had attacked it with a chainsaw. They said that a shark had been feeding on it   The boats were like a small cabin cruiser and I asked how far they went out. Oh just out past the breakers..??? Which were like Hawai 5/0 style.   NAHH.  I'LL GET MY FISH AND CHIPS FROM THE CHIPPIE THANKS VERY MUTCH.

Is this some sort of fake video inconsistenses . Is it a female or a male,?  It is catching fish which are a good size.  Plenty to  catch, so why looking for LIVE BAIT,.? Anything that would take bait of that size would sink the boat.   Is that a fake shark,?  It seems to be following the kayak at a constant distance.  Why not head to the safety of the shore.? The paddler says that the shark might think that it is a seal.  So why doesn't the shark just attack anyway.  But the video doesn't show how landfall was made.  I think that it is all set up for a hoax vid clip.  Click bait.  If the person caught that shark what is it to do with it.  The kayak would probably be towed out to sea, a long way out to sea for lunch.

Edit I've watched that clip several times and by the way that supposed shark moves.. it's fake

Hey Minky, all genuine and believable as far as I'm concerned. I've seen and dived with sharks up close and see nothing fishy here. If you watch some of his older videos, you will see the kind of things he does and the fish he catches.  In the world of AI, it's sensible to be sceptical of everything you see now, but don't think that's an issue here. That said, I could imagine the lad putting himself in the position where this was going to happen. If the goal was to make a viral video, then he succeeded. He's appeared on news channels all over the world.

I thought this was a set-up when I watched it on Tuesday, but waited for anyone else to see that also before I made a comment 😅

Very 'odd' behaviour from that 'great white', following that kayak as Minky described above 🤔

Seemed more of an advert for the kayak manufacturers by a drama queen,,,, IMHO 🤓

the person in the boat dosnt seem to be "worried" enough.....seems to be playing to the camera....adjusting it constantly ...if i was in that boat there would be a trail of excrement floating on the water and the kayak would be doing about 70 knots
