Gentlemanshooter Posted Friday at 16:18 Report Share Posted Friday at 16:18 (edited) Hi All Just wondering which browning model this is ? 28" barrel, 14" LOP, 1/4 and 3/4 fixed choke so probably a game model, ejector single trigger. PR code so 1987. If you know, how do you know ? Cheers Edited Friday at 17:53 by Gentlemanshooter

Alank Posted Friday at 16:45 Report Share Posted Friday at 16:45 (edited) The clue is in the serial no. Looks like an attached fore end so B125. If so serial no would start 252 Edited Friday at 16:58 by Alank
ditchman Posted Friday at 17:18 Report Share Posted Friday at 17:18 (edited) looks like the last picture belongs to a different gun are you testing us ? Edited Friday at 17:19 by ditchman
Gordon R Posted Friday at 17:37 Report Share Posted Friday at 17:37 ditchman - I think you have a point. Last picture looks a far older forend with the B125 latch.

I've got a a B325 grade 5 and the pictures are totally different engraving to my gun and mine is an invector multi choke. I really like this gun. It looks like it's had some good days out in the field. I bet that if it had a complete strip down and the wood was cleaned and recheckered it would be a lot nicer. Gordon R Posted Friday at 18:56 Report Share Posted Friday at 18:56 He posted the wrong photos - hence my B325 comment.
Konor Posted Friday at 18:59 Report Share Posted Friday at 18:59 (edited) B125 Grade D 👍 If you do a Google search of that model you should find one for sale at Derek Lee Gunsmiths for £1495 a bit rarer than the lower grade B125s I’ve seen one in the past and remembered the engraving pattern in your photographs Edited Friday at 19:00 by Konor
Scully Posted Friday at 20:17 Report Share Posted Friday at 20:17 Have no idea, but a nice bit of kit! 👍
Konor Posted Friday at 20:37 Report Share Posted Friday at 20:37 There’s similar but I think deeper engraving pattern on one of the B25 models , it definitely has the capercaillie in a similar pose.

ditchman
it would be nice to see that stripped down and cleaned "worked up" and the woodwork brought up to a good finish..... that would make a top thread
