I have had many trips to Toronto over the years (and am going again in the very near future ) a wonderful city with wonderful people . Lots to do and see .The city is set out in the grid system and is very easy to find your way around with a street map .

you will only be an hours drive from niagara falls and is well worth a visit .At the falls ther are two fabulous casinos if you like a gamble .They are worth a visit just for the restraunts alone .One year i won $ 5000 dollars on the slots and it paid for the trip . All the mounties look about seven feet tall and are very approachable for any info you made need .

Toronto is a very safe city to walk around and is particulary nice down town and down at the waterfront ,lots of fabulous restaurants .

You can cross over the border into the usa at the falls and have a day out in the good old us of a .Buffalo is only about 20 miles over the border at the falls . You will have a wonder ful time . Harnser .

You do realize that Ottawa to Vancouver is about a 12 day drive without stopping to see anything I hope. It takes 2 days to get out of Ontario.

ummmm weather? attractions? about toronto? i think my dads relatives must live on the outscirts as they live on a farmm, thanks for any answers so far!!:sly:

Coming in Febuary you can expect snow and cold roughly minus 3 to minus 23 on average. Depending on where you are staying there is Bass Pro in Van about 20 minutes from downtown., Closer if you are North. Also there is great ice fishing that time of year with Lake Simcoe about 50 minutes away. For attractions check out the Ontario Tourism website you can access it from google. If you can find out exactly where you are I can help out abit more.

Sounds like Lowestoft to me

You will love it, I have worked all over, and Canada is THE place, the people are the most friendly in the world, they are like this country used to be 40 odd years ago, polite, and when people would help you rather than mug you. Even in the cities, this is very noticeable. The only disappointment of my trip was Niagra falls, it's not as big as it seems on the photographs, and what you don't see on the pics is the town alongside it. From what I remember from talking to people over there, gun laws are pretty strict? If I was 20 years younger, I would emigrate (if they would have me).
