Millomite
Any know where I can find some cheapish cartridges for my 12, pref in 30 or 32 gram. Been ringing round and lowest price I can find is 160g for 1000 Is this about average? I do pheasant, pigeon, crow, rabbit shooting so need something for all, as well as clays

casts_by_fly
160 is a good price. I normally buy carts by the box since I don't go through that many. I'll pay anywhere £4-£5 for fiberwad pigeon loads. If you don't mind plastic, 7.5 shot, and 28 gr loads then you can get into the 130's from the numbers I've read. Prices may have gone up in the past 2 months since I made my list though. thanks rick

anser2
Look out for Rio trap 28 gr shells in 6s. Last time I got some , 8 weeks ago they were £138.00 a thousand. I recon they are a cracking shell for pigeons even if they are made for clays.
Highlander
Just been qouted £146 per 1000 for Rio 30g 6's which is about as good as it gets around here unless you want to go for some really light clay loads.

Hodmedod.one
i use Saga Export32, 32g number 5's, very good all round load for the field, ?162 /1000.. The Saga 32's are a good all-round hard hitting cartridge and would get my vote I have been using Caccia Titano 31gm 6s recently. They seem to hit hard enough but I have had a misfire (dud primer). The Farmer bought me some RC1 28gm 6s a couple of months back and they were absolutely rubbish on the Bunnies. As with most things, you get what you pay for. I would rather spend another few quid in the knowledge that what I hit stays down instead of running away wounded.
jef
I use 32g Clear Pigeon for everything live, around £36 per case. I've just bought Game Bore XLR 7.5 at £141/1000 and Game Bore steel 7.5 at £111/1000. I hope the steel is good enough because lead is just rediculous now. AshburtonMiroku
http://www.justcartridges.com/pricelists.html This site has lists of all major cartridge manufacturers and prices. Most gun shops order through this site so prices should be similar.
