I think there has been a slight drop in prices, but it does depend on brand.

I recently paid £170 per 1000 for Eley Realtree Fibre 30gm 6.5 and £143 per 1000 Eley First Fibre 28gm 7.5 (for clays).

He also had Eley HB Pigeon Fibre 32GM 6.5 at £173.75 per 1000.

His prices are usually very competitive (mainly on Eley) and he doesn't add anything for smaller quantities, so the price for 250 is the 1000 price divided by 4.

Another thing I have to factor in when considering the price of cartridges, is the cost of going to get them.

Its no good saving a few pounds a 1000 and spending more than that on diesel to get to the store.

Commodities like lead and diesel have come down by quite a bit, but it will take a bit of time before the fall in price is passed on to the consumer. Gordon's lot are never that quick to intervene on fuel because it tops up tax revenue. Todays cartridges are full of expensive lead (maybe), tomorrows should reflect a fairer price. Expect a price drop soon.

12 bore HB PIGEON 32g Fibre 6.5 £173.75 per 1000 £90.75 per 500 £49.50 per 250 £5.55 per 25

12 bore HUSHPOWER 32g Fibre 6 £196.75 per 1000 £102.75 per 500 £56.00 per 250 £6.25 per 25

12 bore GRAND PRIX HV 32g Fibre 5,6,7 £203.75 per 1000 £106.75 per 500 £58.00 per 250 £6.50 per 25

  • 1 year later...

Went to Park Street guns this morning, didn't have 32/6 Rio's in stock, so picked up OK GAME 32/6's for £38/250

Was I being tight? Next ones up were Eley 32/6 for £55/250

Used these once before and thought they weren't too bad at all!

Anyone else tried these, opinions goo or bad?
