The answer is YES...if this guy (nephew) is involved with high risk crime as far as the police are concerned...like, violence, robery...either way, they will see that as far increased risk to the weapons...the police have the right to come in, in times of civil unrest or when they see fit, to remove firearms from the premesses (spelling?).

It will go in your favour, if you let your FEO know that you appreciate his concern, Also ask how you can help?, I suggest that you install extra security, for your keys, such as a seperate safe...a simple combination one can cost around £30...or another level fo security around the guns, like a addition lock on say a cuboard if the cabinet is in it.

As an alternative your FEO should have suggested that,You would be far better leaving your guns in a gun club,Therefore the police would not have any qualms about your relative in your house.

I have a similar situation and this was suggested to me,Since placing them in the club,The police or the FEO are not worried about any activity in my house as there is no threat.

Just a suggestion in order for you to retain your Licence :good:

First I've heard of this.....is it another FEO building his own little pyrimid, or, has this just being added recently ?

I quote below the relevant section from the ACPO 2002 Procedures Guide re Firearms and Explosives licensing, which was drawn up following the Cullen Report.

• Consider character of applicant and third parties (family, friends, associates, other residents) and where appropriate conduct PNC/CRO and criminal intelligence checks.
