Mungler
Did a nice smash and grab at Copfurn and JJs. Even if I say so myself, I am shooting quite well - the stuff I am missing is all in my head. I think I have finally found the best gun, cartridge and choke combo

broken man
A good day today at Copfurn, then JJ's with the lads: JJ's came 3rd after a shootout (I gayed-out!) Mrs B, came 1st in ladies A jolly good show from Mr Mung came 1st (after a a shootout too, which he won) Best excuse of the day was LV..... Mungler
At JJs I got to the last stand having only dropped 2 birds the whole way round. But then I dropped 4 on the last stand as an absolute star performance in choking like a mo fo. I tied on 78/84 and the shoot off went into sudden death with daft simmo pairs - notwithstanding a no bird call on my last pair which I nailed I kept a lid on it and smoked the next pair. Well pleased - Class win, high gun and 300 half tidy carts in the boot of the motor. And I then forgot being angry with myself for making such a hash of the last stand. Also, when we got there we saw PDLM leaving - his brother must have been out today because I think his brother won B Class on 72/84. Peter De La Mare
Went to JJ's today, ended up on a poor 72/84. Left there feeling very robbed as I had a LOT of bad luck. Two stands I was one shooting the first 3 pairs staight, then had a pause for trap issues, then shot the last 3 pairs dropping some and seeing my trigger freeze reappear at the same time. Still, seems everyone else shot badly so I might be in the prizes anyway.
Bagsy
Well done at JJs chaps.......no one managed to equal Pat's straight round though from last week then Don't see that happening very often!
Mungler
Well, we weren't shooting it last week. She came 3rd to me today, so I guess that trumps that

JonD
Nice shooting guys I did a 16, 17, 17, 18 & 19 on the skeet today so i'm well happy with that, i was on 13's and 14's a month ago so heading in the right direction I have only shot an 18 & 19 twice, 19 being my PB. October should be 20's month I was unlucky on one round, stand 6 and the 2nd of the pair got nailed by a fragment. Reshot the pair and nailed both but missed the outgoer on 7 which is VERY unusual for me possibly the distraction from 6. Jon.
Raja Clavata
We shot Copfurn too. Choked 64 Rob 63 Me 54 Pete 54 Pete bought the teas on the basis of the screw falling out of the trigger on my Gold E half way round which meant I had to borrow the others guns for the remaining stands. Shame as I was on for a high 50's / low 60's at the time. Still, beat my previous best there by 2 so quite 'appy. Going to the Knebworth Hall Game Fair next Sunday - they have a 40 bird sporting layout which can be re-entered so will have a couple of three rounds there. Did you find it, I have a coupke of spares, note a drop of nail lacquer on the opposite side of trigger to the screw head will keep it in place, (clear lacquer, not bright red) M. Raja Clavata
Thanks MGMan, No - had a look but it failed whilst I was in the stand and held the guys behind us up quite a bit anyway. Essex Gun are getting me a replacement which will be thread locked in place. BR Raja
MC
That seems to be a common problem, One guy I was shooting with yesterday lost the screw from his 682 trigger.
Chard
That seems to be a common problem, One guy I was shooting with yesterday lost the screw from his 682 trigger. That's because they keep dicking about with them I can't think of any sensible reason to be dismantling the trigger mechanism every 5 minutes, but that's what they do, then they don't tighten it properly. They're like children. They should just leave the damn thing alone

Nicky T
Managed to escape for a few hours so nipped down to Worsley to try out the new adjustable comb on the 682 and catch Ian E and Yellow Bear finishing their round down there; sprinted round for a swift 100 choosing a mixture of stands and not keeping a score, then finished with a round of "Trappers Choice, gun down Compak" - top fun and special thanks to Yellow Bear for trapping for us
