tweedledee
i just heard this. sadly there are still people out there who want all things british removed from here.my thoughts go out to those families involved.i live about 6 miles from that barracks and drove past it on friday night.the peace here has been a political move by the republican movement but in truth the provos never went away and have now took up under the dissident republican badge. that way the bombers we have in government here can look like legends having took us away from the bad old days. death from below
I must say I have never truly understood the conflict in Ulster. Growing up in the 70's and 80's watching reports of soldiers and police officers being killed was a regular occurence. It seems all the more shocking as it seemed to have settled. I thought all the paramilitaries had turned their attention to crime and drug dealing and not killing. sadly it seems I was wrong

kdubya
Martin McGuinness said that gathering intelligence on dissidents was a threat to the "peace" just shortly before this, now the cynical amongst us might say he "knew something" anyway it cant be true can it as we have been told these murderous cowardly scum have decommissioned their weapons?and that the likes of Adams and McGuinness are reformed freedom fighters who now condemn violence, hang on anyone got a tasty hat? ooh I know perhaps they used the deacts !!! that oxygen thief jackboot Jacqui thinks are the root of gun "evil" Its a shame for the majority decent people of Ireland, but its now also up to them to stand up and be counted, by informing and not holding up to these people, get them shopped and get this nipped in the bud before it kicks off again big time. cheers KW
Ozzy Fudd
one of my hunting mates rang me this morning to tell me about it, its terrible. things have been hotting up lately, another friend works for an electrical firm who install the home security systems for the police, etc, he said theyve been fitting one or two a week since the start of the year, usually its maybe one a month, though everyone thought armagh area would be the first place something happened. shot shot
I just heard about this, it appalls me, I thought progress was starting to be made. I'm too young to remember most of the violence, but I do remember the **** being blown out of Moira police staion just over 10 years ago. I assume this is retaliation to the special force being redeployed, but I don't understand what it was meant to chieve, other than senseless murder. Imperfection
I find it sad that they're starting this all up again. Never agreed with releasing terrorists in the good friday agreement, but do acknowledge that it ended hostilities, but if its starting all up again-then all them soldiers and innocent civilians would have died for nothing. andy33
It seems everybody has an opinion on the conflicts going on around the world my son is currently fighting the taliban in Afghanistan, What everway its viewed Northern ireland will suffer for many years yet until we stop looking at terrorists who disguise themselves as members of goverment. However there is only missery and sorrow in war. Hope to my son in the summer god bless.

Cannon
There isn't an easy fix for a situation like this. Both sides over the period of the troubles were to blame, but in this situation it seems dissidents are responsible, and have been for the majority. IMO the current government should be removed and replaced with neutral people over here. That way the peace process might work. There are too many people engaging in petty politics. Thoughts and prayers go out to those shot and wounded.
pat 1
Politics aside, could I ask you all to pray to your God that this country does not once more fall into the hands of the devil. We have endured enough .The past troubles started when I was eleven years old.Dont want it repeated. I now have grandchildren and hope they dont have to come through what I came through. I dont think there is an appetite here for another thirty years,at least I hope not.It is a small bunch of cowardly thugs on both sides who would keep it going. We here cannot look to Brown and his cronies to help. They dont give a ****.
