Sergeant
I have started to build up a tidy collection of empty .22rf cases and I havnt got a clue what to do with them. Since they cant be reloaded what do you lot do? Wait till you get a ton then sell them to the scrappy?

Elma Fud
Use a semi auto and you wont have to worry about putting them in the bin.

Sergeant
I was also wondering if there is a good reason not to melt them down so I can use them for my model engineering.
Curly87
I cut them in half, then wil pillers fold up the edges to make the sliding part on a snar, by twisting stripped electical wire around it and then put the other end through the center. Saves on money and i have caught many rabbits with them

30-6
Why can't they be sold to a scrappy

However unlikely those scenarios are the H&S wouldn't allow it I bet.

As by now with two decades worth of fired rimfire cases the OP will be able to use them to make enough "rimfire jacketed" .224" bullets to solve the UK and EU ammunition components shortage single handed! 30-6
I hear what you are saying RyanMc, but don't think your average scrappy is too concerned about H+S. I remember reading somewhere if a live round were to go off in someone's pocket it would only fizz and phut. Think it was Archie Coats when someone pointed out to him about putting his glowing pipe in the same pocket as live rounds.
RyanMc
I was thinking of them going through a press or something similar i.e. a confined space, then they don't fizz and phut so much as bang. But likelihood is VERY slim.

Yes they can, but it is very laborious and I have never heard of anyone getting any consistency, or indeed any decent power from them! Even with rimfire prices today, that is the route to take!
