daft question (but as i said i know nothing about reloading), what do you mean by a recipe? plus as far as i know he has none of the kit (presses? etc) that i thought youd need for full reloading job (like from scratch)

cheers mate he showed one of the slugs, they werent round like a musket ball though, they were like the one shown in this pic (top row, second from left), seemed to be hollow on the bottom though - would this method work ok with them do you reckon? got to admit he got me wondering if it would work or not, especially when he told me how much a box of solid slugs costs (£13 for 25!)

anyway i do actually agree with alot of what bleeh said (shock, i know). alot of hunters think the countryside is theirs and theirs alone, and that they have some sort of god given right to run all over it. before i moved back to town the only people i had trouble with on our land was the local fox hunt and idiots out lamping, since then ive had farmers telling me about problems theyve had with people shooting and guys out with dogs (both trespassing), ive yet to hear one complain about the day-glo brigade anoying them though

they drop right down if you hit them at 7 yards with full choke of 32g 5's crows are tough though, no doubting it, tougher than magpies and rabbits imo

it was a beretta 92f plastic 6mm bb gun when i was 11, followed a year or two later by a plainsman 4.5mm bb gun after a few years shooting no 8's, gpl98's, 80's, lsw's, etc, i got my own proper firearms - a 12ga s/s basque, 12ga single aya cosmos, and a bsa supersport 5 .22lr

a guy i know has a spas 12 section 1 on his licence, he was asking me about reloading his solid slugs instead of buying them. he was given a few loose slugs, and wanted to know if he could reload them into a 32g shell, simply by cutting open the crimping, pouring out the shot, popping the slug into the shot cup and sealing it with candle wax. i didnt know if this was possible or not (i dont reload) but told him id find out, tho i reckoned a cartridge with a flat wad might be better than one with a cup. whats everyone else think?

i have a pair of neoprene socks, work really well. dont wear them in wellies but wear them in boots, wore them for hunting in latvia january last year, the only party of me that wasnt freezing was my feet
