  1. Just out of interest - how do you get to the Tap connections? Picture looks like you would have to remove the cooker?
  2. Average is about £40/month - slightly less if you pay yearly in advance. As for parking on your drive you might want to check the deeds to your property and local Council byelaws - often it is not allowed. £12k for a 2 berth!! you will lose half the value in 2-3 years and be unable to have your brethren over to stay. I would also really question the advantage of a big bog/shower - 99.9% of sites have facilities a million times better than your van and they're free - if you get caught short in the wee hours then water the grass behind your van - in 15 years of caravanning we have not used the bog once although I do love to watch the dutiful husbands dragging their wheeled cassettes of effluence to the disposal point every morning - and that's not to mention the smell in the van or the buying of poo melting chemicals
  3. I pm'd you with an offer of some shooting - in this area you need to be quick cos offers don't come up very often. I am disappointed that you have found the time to argue with fellow members of this forum yet not bothered to reply to my offer - as such the offer is withdrawn - shame cos I have just started a 7 month Squirrel control job as well as undertaking crop protection during the Drilling.
  4. IMHO dougall pretty much sums it up - I would not choose to shoot them on the ground if you can use a set up that will attract them into a tree - you might try a small pattern of full bodied flocked deeks say 40-50 yards out and then loft a couple in a tree upwind to encourage them to land above your head where they present a far easier target.
  5. When I was a kid I was shooting mad but nobody in my family had a gun so we used to roam Waddesdon Estate looking for cartridges that had been left - I once found a Hull 3 crowns paper case that still smelled of powder and I treasured that case for years so that's my choice. On another plane I was always in awe of Winchester Silver when I started shooting as they were so darned expensive and one day treated myself to a box - must have been mid eighties and still got the box with 23 shells in it - too precious to ever shoot
  6. Ah well - that's this weekend you've missed then - why post if you're not going to bother to read the responses
  7. Machinist, Capstan operator, CNC Engineer then Caretaker - retired at 52 no mortgage no debts
  8. Might help....turn your PC off , disconnect the mains feed and remove the battery - press the start button and hold for 20 seconds with your PC on a hard surface - this is supposed to remove static from the system - it's worked a couple of times with mine.

    Beamish.

AJS 250 CSR for me although I started on rice burners. Now have a 996 a Gixxer6 and an 1100 Virago in my shed all gathering dust - bought the 996 on a whim but cannot safely reach the floor so I've ridden her twice in 2 years .
  10. Never been a fan of fixed beds I must admit - we find that we need all the space we can get in our 5 berth. The 2 bench seats in the front become 2 beds simply by removing the back rest - 5 seconds work or to convert to a double takes less than a minute. We don't, however, make proper beds we simply open out a sleeping bag.
  11. Well at least you are amused David - I also find it amusing to hear how easy the situation could have been resolved - if BASC don't get an answer when they phone someone do they simply give up? You make so many presumptions that you might consider a career in Creative writing Sir but let's simply agree to disagree before we engage in post ping pong. For my part I promise never to join your organisation but will wish you well.
  12. I think the wait of 15 years would be something to be quiet about - however, if you consider it funny
  13. Not often that I agree with fortune but on this occasion I do 100%. So BASC are fighting for Airgunners - not much use for our Scottish brethren? I had a similar experience over a licensing issue as fortune while I was a member of BASC and to be honest I may as well have contacted fortune's granny - not interested, or to be more accurate "we will get our Legal team to call you back" well, David, - bin waiting about 15 years now . On another note, and I don't blame BASC for this - my car was damaged several times while it had the BASC sticker proudly displayed.
  14. Following another thread on this forum about Foxing rifles I was wondering if most people have an "old favourite" shotgun that they reach for time after time? I currently have at least 10 shotguns to choose from including a B525 and a Miroku, 101 etc yet my gun of choice is a 1914 Pollard Sidelock - of all the others this one just feels "right" - it was bought for next to nothing and I had the barrels reblacked locally and Demonwolf444 on this forum stripped and oiled the woodwork, she now looks like a new gun but the quality and pedigree are what I find most appealing.
  15. Each to his own - but BASC will not be getting anymore money from me.
  16. Where in Bucks are you? Can you drive? Are you insured?+How much experience do you have?
  17. As TONY R said - I think they do a "youth" model 20g semi.
  18. Clear as a Bell Sir - but why would you "take her from the rear" just to get a picture of Fat Sally?
  19. Surely the MECS is the safest bet - if you take, say 15 minutes, to get to your Dad and then realise that he needs urgent medical care are you suitably trained? - your delay may cost you dearly. My father in law had the system that calls the MECS and they called us as soon as the alarm was raised - I once had a Boss pass away in my arms ( heart attack at work) and the Ambulance crew said that 5 minutes earlier and they would have had a far greater chance of saving him. Time is a critical factor.
  20. x type jaguar - pick them up for pennies and some are 4x4 - the diesels are, apparently, not so great but the 2.5 sport petrol is v.good. I've just bought an unmarked 2001 v6 3.0 with 56k on the clock for £1400 - mine drives/looks like it has just left the showroom.
  21. Best of luck to you Sir Takes balls to turn your world upside down and I sincerely hope you both find happiness and a better life in your new venture.
  22. As motty said - it's not the end of the world and easily fixed.
  23. What pellets are you using?
  24. Not the one where you asked your sister to load a pellet into the Tap and she went and spilled all your pellets down the sink? + If you put a dab of grease on the little cut outs on the piston it might stop it sounding like 2 skeletons bonking in a biscuit tin.
