  1. Surely this has nothing to do with Browning? Under the new Consumer rights act I think the dealer is responsible.
  2. Deffo cured a friend of mines depression-he hung himself after taking some.
  3. 4 more not gotta worry about gathering Nuts this may.
  4. Yes-towards the muzzle end-the triggers hinge on the trigger plate and move upwards to trip the sear-the sear thus sits on top of the rear of the trigger-you just need to make sure that the triggers are pushed forwards to make sure the sear can go over the top when fitting the locks.
  5. Over worked and under manned-but a good bunch to deal with despite being in meltdown.
  6. No worries-the triggers are not spring loaded and flop around inside the stock-if you push the locks back into the recess in the wood without pushing/holding them forwards the sear may well press against the trigger(s) and prevent the locks seating-its easy to think that just a tap will do the job but not if the sear is up against the trigger-sounds more complicated than it is and all will become clear when you put her back together.
  7. The only pistol I would attempt to shoot vermin with is the Crossman 1322 but it would have to be the older version with the metal breach and made in the states-the newer ones are an insult to their predecessors and built in Mexico despite what it says on the gun itself.
  8. BSA also did a "magnum" spring pistol-powerful but you would be lucky to hit a Cows bum in a barn with it.
  9. Might sound obvious but make sure you push the relevant trigger forwards as you replace each lock.
  10. Am I the only one imagining Wingman rolling around on the carpet with a leaf spring embedded in his forehead whilst his better half cancels his "Tiffins" night thanks to the gouge in the table
  11. Easier to strip than a boxlock so don't be afraid-Zabala built these I seem to recall so quality should be OK ish and hopefully better than the boxlock version. Nothing should fall out when you remove the locks so no worries there.
  12. Thought it might be a bit gimmicky as the TV family (largest family in Britain) run their own bakery and manufacture Pies for a living whilst employing many family members but said nothing when her indoors (a fan of the series) declared that she had ordered some to try. Postage was pretty good at £5 for, as far as I can see, as many as you like so we sat and waited until Hey Presto said Pies arrived bang on time yesterday and we sat down last night to try the beasties. Well I must admit to being totally converted-never had a Pie so nice in all my years, so much Chicken that I'm surprised they got it all in there but the flavour and texture of the meat makes you glad they did, absolutely superb in every way and our next order is already in. Anyone tried them?
  13. Totally agree with the Brioche rolls and burgers-superb and the Bushland Aussie Shiraz at £4 a bottle is a steal, cant think of a nicer red that I've tried for less than £20 a bottle.
  14. Yes I did Dougy-but before you book your ticket for the massive TW back patting party you might want to ask why EVERY other Celeb gave their time for free? In fact I seem to recall that he was also being paid £2m/year by the Beeb as a retainer i.e. not to work.
  15. "fair share for charity?" - what like "children in need?"-lets just jog our memories here-wasn't he paid, on average, around £10k per show for this "charity" event-how many stupid people did stupid things simply to pay his wages?
  16. I'm glad that you've chosen a springer-leaves more vermin for us PCP users to shoot. Joking aside this whole PCP versus springer is getting daft-if you don't like or appreciate modern PCP's then that's your choice but if you cannot see the advantages then don't try to persuade others into making the same mistake.
  17. Don't ever believe that the Daystate's are in any way better than the S410 in the real world-might have better wood and maybe build quality (although reading the complaints on the owners forum, I doubt it) but vermin shot by Airguns are not killed by the wood or an electronic trigger. Accuracy and reliability is the name of the game and the S410 has a pedigree longer than evo's gun list proving it has plenty of both.
  18. You only need watch something like "24 hours in A&E" to see how many idiots waste doctors time-in the last couple of episodes I watched - one woman had cut her finger and just needed a plaster while another turned up after hurting her finger in a collapsible chair-they should be fined.
  19. Well done Colin, first time you've hit anything at 20 yards
  20. I don't have any problems getting a home visit so maybe the situation varies from one surgery to another? On the other hand an 83 year old with any kind of serious pain ( and at 83 these people don't make a fuss over nothing) I would agree with getting to Hospital just to be safe. Hope she is well
  21. Poor little Bunny but, Christ on a bike, I have never seen such an ugly gun-I will try the age old method of several pints of falling down water and see if she looks any better just before I pass out. Weather, I agree, is a pain at the moment with heavy rain then frost but managed 11 Squirrels over the last 2 weeks (3 sessions) during breaks.
  22. Corned Beef and Beetroot Sandwiches with Salad Cream.....better than sex.
  23. With 3 this morning that makes a total of 10 that I have shot since last Monday-7 from 1 feeder alone Total = 27
  24. Took it back for a refund??? I thought you had bought it to learn a bit about guns and as a project? Broken firing pin-just about the easiest job on a boxlock and you take the gun back? Dedication sure aint what it used to be
  25. Have you thought about Winslow? - only 10 minutes away and a new Railway line is on the cards.
