  1. Just a thought regarding spring noise and quality-don't Hull Cartridge re spring HW's as they are imported? I must admit, however, to kind of agreeing to moles opinion regarding HW quality-I used a 80 for 10+ years and it was stupidly accurate and never needed any parts-on the strength of this I treated myself to a 95 a few years back-omg-what a poor relation to the 80 and would not buy another HW-imho AA make far better guns at similar money.
  2. Atkinson's insurers paid out just under a million after his second crash-his premium must have been quite high but then he only paid £540 thousand for the car and sold it for just under £8 million.
  3. Evans as a TG presenter?-count me out as a viewer.
  4. If you still have this pm me your number-I was asked to look out for one of these only yesterday!!

Explorer is a real marmite machine-you will need a degree in Technology to get them to beat newer machines and then you will spend 90% of your time fiddling with the settings while everybody else gets on with it. I have a Fisher F75 in vgc with dedicated sunlight probe fitted and predator headphones if you are interested-I am about to put it on the bay but feel free to read up on the machine and get back to me-I'm in no hurry, bought it last year and not used it once due to health issues.
  6. Vasey can write?-only a true fan would know that-far too intellectual for me I'm afraid.
  7. "oh similar to the set up you use then"-that must have taken hours to think up-some one let John Bishop know that his career is at risk
  8. You could try an empty toilet roll-with a Lolly stick glued inside and some kind of monkey ***** glue on the receiver you should be good to go. Make sure there are no Fudge Dragon remnants on the cardboard-attracts the flies
  9. Whilst being an avid hater of Daystates I must disagree with the post regarding electronic triggers-I thought that it was a gimmick until I tried one on a MK3-there is simply nothing out there that will out perform them and you need to try one to feel the difference-that said I still think that Daystate are the DeLorean of the Airgun world-any company that limits output to increase prices are not engineers-simply bankers (feel free to select an alternative first letter).
  10. I paid for the tracked service and my parcel got totally lost-when I spoke to them and asked where the parcel was last time it was logged they said they could not tell me because the parcel had been lost??-never again.
  11. I seem to recall that you cannot claim anything for 6 weeks if you handed in your notice-if he is not fit for work then he might get Independent living allowance but the waiting list for an appointment is about a year to see a medical chap and then about 6 weeks for the DHSS to make a decision
  12. The squirrel appears to have died of laughter, then it fell out of the tree onto the baby rabbit.
  13. What about Guy Martin as a presenter-doesn't take it from anybody, speaks his mind and seems a real genuine chap.
  14. AA S410 .177 classic-48 yards head shot in blustery conditions this very morning-didn't even flutter.
  15. That evo would jump on this thread was,of course, inevitable but it would be interesting to go back over, say, the last 300 posts and see how many Daystates were in need of repair and how much said repairs were likely to cost.HW seals do seem to fail I must admit but my mates 100 lasted 6 years before it needed any work doing and a simple seal job became a nightmare in the hands of The Hull Cartridge co.-in fact the gun never worked correctly again and he now uses a S510. Daystates benefit from more supple Seal materials-Chewing Gum,Bogies and Knicker elastic all being used depending upon the day of the week.
  16. Cynergy? upgrade?-I would rather have the Baikal.
  17. I cannot believe some of the comments on here-we all know what the cubs were doing there and what their destiny was likely to be-I have seen with my own eyes foxes being released prior to the hunt starting and I have also witnessed a local hunt follower trapping foxes for the same purpose albeit a few years back-I am not a great fan of fox hunting but the people that still do it are not doing themselves any favours and any inkling of support from any other branch of field sports are likely to suffer.
  18. If her lack of brain cells had caused her to push you car, along with your family, into that truck,m3vert, I'm guessing she would be waaaay down on your Christmas card list. No, I don't wish her dead, but I can understand those that would.
  19. Yes its someone's daughter-but its someone's stupid daughter and she risked other peoples lives with her hard of thinking.
  20. Take the barrels/forend off and post the stock/action to demonwolf444 on this site-normal post is legal as its just a part for repair.
  21. If you google "airgun spares" and then go onto the Chambers site you can find a diagram of your gun-should be able to work out where you are going wrong. Prices for a decent 77 vary enormously-I saw a shop buy a nice scoped gun for £30 but £200+ is the norm depending on condition. Great guns that ruled the roost for many years and with good reason-you will need a scope and decent mounts to appreciate its capabilities.
  22. Post (at my expense) and I will take this please-postage normally around £15 parcel farce.
  23. Aldi do a, in my opinion, nicer one for less.....Bushland....premium estates Shiraz-£3.99-try it at your peril
  24. Buy an English gun with a name-you could be lucky and pick up a sidelock that needs a little work-a tatty stock knocks hundreds off and guys on this site like Demonwolf444 can make them pretty enough to bring a tear to your eye. You will be shooting a thing of beauty that has history to it and was built when we were the best Gunmakers in the world-you will also shoot for free as your investment will retain and, most likely, increase in value. Pick one up at a dealer and compare it to any modern gun-no contest.
  25. Rats are tough creatures-a 50 yard Roland is near RF territory.
