  1. I would seriously doubt that ,at normal ranges, any rabbit not nuclear powered could deliberatly dodge a pellet. If it were feasible i think you would have to be at maximum range with an un-moderated .22 gun and a rabbit allready in a spooked condition-i.e. coiled like a spring. Not being argumentative but somethings not quite right-practice your ability to judge range- hard enough during the day let alone in darkness.
  2. You'll not notice any difference with a mod on but game in front of the gun will and may sit still long enough, if you miss first time, to get another shot.
  3. 12 gauge single folding shotgun free to whoever wants it-no pitting and in pretty good nick-bin shortened and would suit teenager but fine to shoot if you're a big fat ******* like me.GONE IN A FLASH TO POISEDSHOT
  4. Use only in a .22 shotgun or you will fork up your rifling-better off with a 9mm garden gun-strap a maglite underneath and you're away.
  5. An all time classic workhorse-will outlive most of us and still shoot better than we ever will-feed it with Eley subs with a moderator or RWS high velocity and it will kill vermin till the cows come home-one of the very best.
  6. Just in case this turns into a "should have gone to" thread let me get in first-Stockcraft of Stoney Stratford near Milton Keynes-never felt less than very welcome and like my custom was their first concern.
  7. You must be madder than mad jack mcmad!-put it in a slip covered in oil and it will gain in value year by year-better interest than any bank account
  8. This sounds crazy to me-on that basis did the original barrel have to be destroyed by whoever de-tuned the rifle and then reported to the relevant Firearms dept?
  9. I always thought that once an air-rifle was declared as or classed as a firearm it couldnt be de-rated back to sub 12ft/lb level thus making it legal to use without a FAC?
  10. Try nut/bolt suppliers-you should be able to get a 10mm bolt long enough to give you that kind of length before the thread starts-then just cut them to length and drill the hole in-shouldnt be too tricky-otherwise any engineering workshop could do it for a couple of quid.

    MIDGE'S

Our Avon lady disappeared for a while-turns out that Max Factor.
  12. Mint-as new -no box would be fair-ring trading standards and get them to have a word-name and shame and save us all the hassle.
  13. Real easy to do with a basic tool kit-but the frontera might have a bash plate under the engine that will need removing first.Smoke from the dipstick hole is normal after the engine has warmed up-normally it gets vented thru the inlet manifold and burnt or collected in a gauze filter and drips back into the sump. Most of the big service centres have a price promise so ring one and get a price-knock £5 off that and ring another one and tell them what you've been quoted-they are duty bound to beat it.Ring the next one and quote the lower price again-within 10 minute you'll get a price that means its not worth you doing it yourself-i do this every year. This years oil/filter change with semi-synthetic cost me £25 on a 3.5 ltr v6 shogun.
  14. Ive got a 96 yzf1000 Thunderace up for sale-these were built on a modified yzr750 chassis so its tiny for a litre superbike. Its only done 15k and would pass as a 2year old bike with brand new tyres and just serviced a couple of weeks ago.Im looking for £1600 for it if you're interested-p.m. me your email addy and i can send pictures-bruno.
  15. Bin riding bikes for over 30 years now and fast approaching half a century-bin off a few times and broken my fair share of bones but the idea of not having the escape that a superbike gives you is unbearable.Had to fight tooth and nail in the early years to get unlimited insurance with diabetes and suffered a 60% loading for many years untill the government outlawed such discrimination. My wife hates me riding bikes and worries whenever i go out but i've made my views known and told her that if i die on a bike then at least she will know that i died doing something that i truely love.

    help

Pumping the gun up before you go is fine unless you start to get thru a lot of shots-i.e. having to re-zero or branching young rooks. If you have a car then its easier by far to use a tank-cheapest way (and what i did) was to buy a used pump (£50) and use it whilst watching the for sale ads on all the airgun sites-took me 6 months but i ended up with a 12ltr tank and a whip and gauge for £95 (2 seperate sellers).I then sold the pump fot £70.If you are stuck with a pump then you might consider buying a spare cylinder for the S200-you could carry this with you.Good choice of gun, by the way, sooooooo underated its a crime.

    Cavity wall

Im pretty sure that you should have a certificate if your walls have been insulated when built-if its been done since then you cant miss all the blobs of morter dotted around your walls. If it hasnt been done then yes get it done-its pretty cheap and will save you money in time-as for the Thermostatic radiator valves-waste of time and money.
  18. For those who want to know what the fascination is all about-throw your leg over one of these and let her go.....
  19. State primary school caretaker.
  20. Dragged the Thunderace out from the shed last week-battery bin on trickle all winter so started first time-changed the oil and plugs ( bloody nightmare of a job)-washed her from top to bottom and ordered a tax disc online-got 2 new boots in the shed that need fitting next week and i'll be away.
  21. Huge warning if you're gonna work on the engine-the cam cover is made of monkey **** and will snap off its own lugs if you even sneeze on them-if you bust them you will be very lucky to get another one cos not even daihatsu have any-sounds daft but when mine broke a new engine was suggested-BE CAREFULL.
  22. Cant believe that so many thought this could be the cam-belt-come on lads-if you can see it then it aint the cambelt is it.Depending on the trim/model of the car this is obviously the auxilary drive belt that drives some or all of the following-Alternator-Power steering pump-Air Con compressor-water pump-all depends on the trim level. You will most likely find that the alternator will have a ternsioner fitted to it-slacken this to fit the new belt and tension as per manual instructions.
  23. Just had a renewal qote from my last insurer (£350 last year)-just over £1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with no claims being made over the last year-they then have the balls to offer me £140 off if i take out the cover immediately?(presumably so i dont ring around for quotes)-as the Ad says-They're aving a laugh-ended up going to Sureterm.com and spoke to a really helpfull guy (Danny Smith) who worked his nuts off over 15 minutes and got 1 underwriter to match last years price-threw in legal cover as well for free (you must have it if paying monthly i'm told)-Now i'm well chuffed!!I dont have anything to do with this company I swear but if you are looking for a renewal quote give em a call-I owe them this free ad at least.
