I've got bits of a B17 on one of my fields-flown by a guy called Kett who went on to fly more hours in combat than any other USAAF pilot-got a bloody nose in Bucks for his efforts.

Winslow's o.k. but theres nicer if you want to pay. Many parts around MK are earmarked for heavy develpment so choose wisely-shooting permission is usually only gained by marrying into a family of either farmers or poachers.Thornborough is pretty as are some of the smaller villages-Little Horwood is a nice place with a strong community spirit.I hate huge shopping centres but MK is about as good as they get and how the hell can anyone moan about a grid system?-easiest way in the world to navigate.

Always been a devout sceptic till we bought our current house 12 years ago-things got so bad that the kids were being disturbed at night (we never told them that we thought that something un-natural was happening) and we eventually had the local vicar bless the house to move whatever it was on.I was suprised to learn that the church has specialists in this field and that full blown "exorcism's are performed when needed. Our vicar thought that it was my doing because i had written a poem about a young girl in the graveyard who had died aged 11 in mysterious circumstances nearly 200 years ago.To all of you who are now thinking b*****ks-i was the same as you till this happened.

can someone explain power change by pellet weight ?
bruno22rf replied to mickmep's topic in Airgunners
I would guess that efficiency is what we are looking at here-the gun puts the same amount of energy into each pellet so any variation in kinetic energy downrange must happen from the point of firing onwards.Take a look at velocity-the lighter pellet will travel faster than a heavy one and thus cause more friction and a greater loss of velocity than its heavier brother-add this to the fact that the lighter pellet is already carrying less energy because of its lower weight then the variations in pellet performance become clearer. The disadvantages of lower energy despite higher velocity become less important if the higher velocity has added benefits such as less drop over a given range. On the same lines the benefit of a higher energy carrying heavier pellet is lost if you cant hit a cows butt with it because of the arc of the trajectory. This is my theory and it helps me sleep at night-but then they do say that ignorance is bliss. -
.410's are hot property at the moment but a single with a repair to the stock?-£50-£70 at a guess.

"What can we do?"-I know -lets do the same as we allways do-bend over and take it.

To match the accuracy of prometheus simply throw a handfull of them into the air and hit them towards the target with a tennis racket-Hey Presto you've just produced as good a group as your likely to get.

Almost identical to mine-you think its quiet now?-pop a mod. on it and you will need to count the bullets in the mag to see if its fired!-stick with the Eleys or RWS if you can get them-had mine nearly 15 years and still looks like new.

Try a hollow point pellet-or borrow a .22 for a while.

You would need to be a registered pest controller with all the relevant paperwork and insurance before they would even listen to you.

Best bet would be to try find one in a breakers but i dont think this was a popular model so you may struggle. If you have to spray it i would plastic weld it first and tidy the edges with a flexible filler if needed then i think you would need a decent primer suitable for plastic followed by a celluose color coat and laquer.I had a cbr1100 sprayed this way and it lasted for years without cracking.

Thick *** changed the oil/filter on my Shoggie last week ( you can get them to do it so cheap that its not worth getting your hands dirty)-while i was paying the guy in charge tells me that they had checked the tyres and the fronts were down to just under 5mm-would i like a quote?-jesus wept they start at 6mm when new so who the hell is he trying to kid

Here Here-PW is a breath of fresh air compared to the 2 airgun forums (BBS + AG/FORUM) who are so far up their own rrrrrs that they seem oblivious to the general shooting public.I had a run in with both forums a while back over a video clip that displayed downright cruelty (and was on view for several months) and was banned from both sites then let back on one (after threatening to pass the clip to the rspca because of the way they were treating me).I was invited back with open arms on both sites once the realistation dawned on them that a legal case might be coming their way-an offer i have declined as i wish no further contact with either nazi outfit. :(

Bypass or remove aftermarket immobilizer
bruno22rf replied to starlight32's topic in Motoring Section
Most shoguns were never fitted with alarm/immobilisers as standard equipment but this was offered as an extra-99% of all Mitsi dealers fitted the same system cos they had a deal with a certain supplier but i cant remember who it was. Most likely find the unit under your right knee after removing the plastic that hides your main fuse box.Complete new system can be had for well under £100 but might cost the same again to have it fitted.Ring around for a cash price-i paid £60 fitting with 2 sensors and a remote (hidden) horn cut out switch. -
Simple-borrow someone with a wheelchair and ask them to come round after the bins have been emptied-get them to ring the waste department and tell them that they are trapped in the garden because of the bins-doesnt matter that they dont live there-they could be house sitting.Demand that the bin men return to let him out-this works cos i've tried it-took 2 goes but no more probs since.

Remember the 10 commandments??? MY RRRRRS-did those 2 murdering scumbags remember that as they stoned little jamie to death? Dont fork about hanging them-throw them to an angry mob.

Any more than £100 on a scope for a lr and you're wasting money.
-
If the guns in good nick then the price is pretty fair.Dont worry too much at this stage about the scope-as long as the picture is clear and it adjusts correctly then it should be good enough-you dont need expensive mounts or a scope designed to take the rec oil of a centre-fire on a recoiless airgun!Charging adaptors are easy to come by (yours is most likely the push fit with a knurled ring around the body) and cost about £15 but i dont know if its a good idea to keep changing from one to another if you are sharing the tank with someone else-the threads are quite fine and could get damaged.Keep an eye out for a used whip and gauge on here or one of the airgun forums and pop your adaptor on that-should last a lifetime. If you are unsure about the guns condition mechanically then leave a deposit and fully charge it then go back 2-3 days later and make sure the pressure is the same. The trigger ,by the way, is not brilliant but you get used to it-the accuracy ,however, for a gun of this price is spot on-it will outperform your ability a thousand times over! I've been in a position over the last year or so to buy just about any airgun on the market but i cant think of a valid reason to get rid of my s200.
