  1. Good job Ditch but where is the Colmans mustard and the bangers?
  2. Very interested but I have the same Q is it a three and a half inch chamber . I live just outside Norwich so happy to collect subject to your answer. Many thanks,
  3. The only pigeons i've shot this month have been with a rifle. Birds flighting in under oak trees feeding on acorns. They're completely ignoring the rape at the moment.
  4. I'm a Linnets fan, born in KIng's Lynn.
  5. It's a very satisfying thing to do OF. I made this years ago (20 probably). Each year I take them down and clean them. If they don't get any nesting birds I change the aspect. If we paint them we do this very early usually end of Dec ot early Jan. The birds don't like a whiff of paint. This year the blue tits raised two hatches. It took me more time to photograph this one than to build the nest box !! Good luck.
  6. I'd bet a good few quid that Bird flu' has kiiled a lot more birds than ingested lead shot since the 'fowling ban. Most of the PW membership would expect such a "negative" comment from me as I absolutely hate the idea of moving away from using lead for shooting albeit in shotgun cartridges or bullet heads. This world is in a mess, not least the United Kingdom. When I look at where banning lead shot is in terms of it's importance it's about number 376 in the pecking order. Simples. Don't get used to the idea we're all doomed because this is not the case.
  7. You might have the patience for this then welsh1
  8. Incredible shot don't you think. I admire those that press the shutter button as much as those that pull the bolt back and pull the trigger.
  9. There's something in what you say Penelope but he's operating at 2% capacity compared with Attenborough.
  10. Very nice indeed Ditch. A household staple here. We have something very similar once a week but usually served with either cabbage or broccoli.
  11. I see Chris Packham presented the awards for this competition. What a great shame this idiot seems to have taken over as the "go to" wildlife ambassador. Here's a link showing the winning photograph amongst others: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/wildlife-photographer-of-the-year-bees-win-big.html I thought the winning photograph rather good. There is an exhibition on the winners/entrants on from 14 October 2022 – 2 July 2023 at the Natural History Museum, London. Got to be worth a look once the railway is working again.
  12. I can't stand the woman and it isn't a recent thing, it's been an issue with me for years now. I'm happy to return her hatred for the tories with knobs on. She shows no humilty to others and only cares about her own views and opinions. Horrible nasty piece of work.
  13. Disgusting ! Have these little pricks been prosecuted? This type of behaviour is acceptable it seems.
  14. Good guns ! I had this 20 bore which was branded Rottweil but was made by FAIR. I was sad to see it go but a Kemen KM4 came up so I traded it in.
  15. My turf Jimmy. I see the scots booed that dreadful woman in Dunferline today. Well done. krankie_humble.webp
  16. I'm also a member and haven't recieved a survey from BASC
  17. Hull Cartridge do a very smooth shooting 26g in No6 felt wad Imperial Game if you need something for Pigeon , or Game as well.
  18. Why not. I note you were given 250. Lucky you, they cost 17 euro a box (£14.50) x 10 = £145.00 a slab. If you're using them on corvids some would say this is expensive. You might find someone who will exchange two slabs of something else for your Alphamaxs'
  19. Well done Scully. Nice going and a good way to christen your new Tilly hat.
  20. My first thought was this load must be a blast from the past and discontinued but it seems it's still available: https://ardeesports.com/products/eley-alphamax-36gr

    Big lad!

That's a big un' Scully. Looks like a golden-ringed Dragonfly but I might be wrong. I think the Emperor is the biggest one we have in the UK.
