  1. St Patrick took care of them all apparently. So, there's no need to worry here.
  2. Hallelujah! Report received. All is well with with the world. Im off to bed.
  3. Terrible jdog. Just keep going. Semi auto, tighter choke and lighter loads. The alternative is the long walk. 'I'm just heading out for a shot. I might be some time.' Only joking.
  4. It's not their tax returns I want to see. It's their partners, wives and husbands! They must think we were all born yesterday.

    Religion

We have had alot of religion over here, alot of church buildings and quite a few people going into them.... but not so much Christianity (at least not my reading of it). Religion has helped ruin politics, destroyed relations between communities and prevented liberalisation of social policy. Sometimes I wish 'god' would call time and intervene. It seems the house has too many mansions, so I stay in my own one most of the time.
  8. Good arn't they! I reckon these ones are definitely going to work.
  9. Nice shot. I love them. I hate cats.
  10. What really annoys me, is that the will stick their beaks through anything even if they haven't a hope of swallowing it! Nice picture though.
  11. Before we all get too excited. The Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf is a group of experts established under the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, but it is not a United Nations Commission. It's views are not legally binding in any shape or form. Another example of the media trying to cause a storm in a tea cup. Just noticed the mighty prawn, also pointed this out!
  12. Lovely. That's my favourite, pigeons decoying in a strong wind. Brilliant to watch.
  13. This was a beauty. Popped out for an hour this afternoon. It walloped me on the drop and then proceeded to run right out into the backing like a steam train. It eventually succumbed. An absolute cracker well overwintered and the length of my arm. Such a fish deserves to be returned. After 5 mins recovery it headed back to depths strong and probably a little wiser. Oh and as an after thought... Here is my first brown of the year also.
  14. You're not quite getting this are you? What some may see as propaganda others may see as truth. It all depends on peoples perspective. To say one man is simply wrong is no argument. The old saying 'one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter' is a clear example of what I'm saying. As someone living in N.Ireland I'm sure you will have heard the very same argument made about the likes of the IRA? Terrorist or freedom fighter will depend on what you believe. Ask an Israeli if Hamas are terrorists or freedom fighters and the answer will be diametrically opposed to the opinion of a Palestinian. My statement was quite clear and unambiguous, designed to make a simple point without having to go into a long winded description, Most people I'm sure, would have understood the point I was making, as I'm sure deep down, you did too. Surely your not that stupid. One man's terrorist v freedom fighter is premised upon the fact that person in question can be one and the same dependent upon a world view. By contrast there is no such thing as 'one man's truth'!!!! There is only the truth and then a falsehood. Really, if your going to do a bit of armchair philosophy at least make some sense.
  15. I like digging a hole in the middle of a field. Something different, and nearly always works.
  16. Nice! Pull the nettles and take them home, they would go well with the bunny.
  17. One man's propaganda is another man's truth. No it not! You talking rubbish Propaganda = "information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view." Truth = "that which accords with fact or reality".
  18. That speech is full of contradictions. They have only been in the EU for over a decade. Yet he doesn't like the club and seems to hate those pesky human rights defenders. I am always concerned when a leader has a crack at human rights, particularly in country with the track record of Hungary. He should leave and close the borders or perhaps join jobbik. The views certainly don't seem to be far removed.
  19. Guerilla tactics or terrorism of this kind is next to impossible to defeat, but it can be managed. Border restrictions, targeted deradicalisation programmes, integrationist policies and in the areas they control lots and lots of bombs to kill as many of them as possible. The game is pretty simple. Make life more secure and stable for us than it is for them. But here is the really difficult bit. You need to do all those things without alienating the millions of honest, decent Muslims who are allies, neighbours and friends.
  20. Well done. I'm continuously fascinated by the sheer amount of birds you have holding in your area. It's incredible. Super two days for the time of year.

Really. I thought the french, Prussians, Spanish, Portuguese, Belgium, Holland and the Danes didn't do to bad from the age of empire themselves! But if you say so.
  22. http://www.fishinginireland.info/trout/north/melvin.htm If he is really into his fishing and you want to do something special, hop on the boat and go here. It's beautiful, totally wild and more species of game fish than any other water in these islands. Browns Gillaroo Sonaghan Sea trout Salmon Char Ferox The sonaghan is a shoaling brown trout which pound for pound is the hardest fighting trout you will ever hook. Plus the Guinness is great.
  23. I managed a free hour this afternoon. So, I decided to have a quick flick for a trout. It was very cold in the hills, but I managed one nice overwintered fish. Heavily feeding on bloodworms, hence i reckon the favouring something red. Seems to work well this colour early in the season. I know the rules are black early in the year, but I often find red does the trick. The fish was somewhere between 3 and 4lbs.

Its not keeping the GREAT in Britain we need to worry about, particularly since there are quite a few spots affected that are not part of Great Britain! I would be more concerned with keeping the UNITED in Kingdom.
