    Corbyn

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36778135 So, there is no reason to believe the membership will vote any different. The MPs have got there leadership contest, but comrade Corbyn looks dead set to continue on the path to the labour party's total destruction. What an idiot.
  2. It's nothing to do with gender. To quote our only female PM to date..... "Being a leader is like being a lady. If you have to remind people you are, you aren't.”
  3. GCHQ, set up pigeon watch and they track all the crazy folk with guns who post in 'off the topic'. It's a fact, I heard it somewhere!

Starting to show this side of the Irish sea in good numbers
  5. I reckon my politics are generally left of centre, but the Labour party?? THE LABOUR PARTY?? HA HAH HA HAH HAH HA HA HA. They are about as useful to UK politics at the moment as England were last night against the mighty viking nation.
  6. God. This could be the longest divorce in history. Its only day three and I'm getting bored already. Is there any other club we could leave to spice things up at bit. Our could we start a new one with Donald T and the gun slingers?
  7. That would be amusing. Watching you lot tear lumps out of each other after the scare mongering that a brexit vote would lead to an implosion in northern Ireland! Will you be sporting red and white roses again? Or round tin helmets and big floppy jobs with feathers in?
  8. Look, I wasnt in favour of brexit, but do support democracy. There's only one figure that matters. Leave 17 million. Remain 16 million. Remain need to get over themselves and we need to get on with this. End of.
  9. Jaysus let's hope not. He's a buck eejit. Admittedly, a very rich one, but still, in the words of the deep south 'dat boy, he speaks some serious s***'
  10. Devolutionary disaster. A party in govt that doesn't want be in the UK, has an opportunity to mess things up as much a possible in an attempt to swing 10% of the electorate in favour of secession. The enemy within can weave a nasty web.
  11. One of the most stupid things I have him say. I really like Obama, and he is better than such nonsense scaremongering. It was a real disappointment.

    Calais Migrants

How on earth would DNA test determine anyone's nationality? I'm sure the genetic make up of a few people on here would be surprising if DNA testing was run. Its a passport that determines nationality, not blood type. Also, at the risk of boring everyone and going over ground trodden multiple times on here, please bear in mind their human right are your human rights! And they are not EU rights, the are British rights enshrined in the HRA. Here's a legal solution.
  13. If I lived in Scotland, and was asked to vote in another independence ref. I would vote exactly the same. At the minute. Scotland is in an envious position, as is northern Ireland. We can tag along for ride that England is taking us on. If it all goes belly up, we can leave at any point! If its a success we can stay. Nows not the time to trigger anything. Let's bide our time and see how its goes. Scotland would need to negotiate the terms of its EU membership if it left the UK, so they may as well wait. No rush. Don't think the SNP is playing clever if they call for a poll immediately.
  14. Reduce corporation tax would be a serious consideration in the medium term. In the shorter term. Call a meeting of the heads of govt of the commonwealth to open trade negotiations free from EU law. Meet with the Tioseach to settle relations with Ireland and the common travel area. Consider making the British oversea territories full UK citizens, particularly those with banking and tax interests in the Caribbean.
  15. There is little point in you being involved in this discussion. You don't recognise that people born in the 6 counties can be British. But it is their right! Accepted by the people of island both sides of the border in 1998. And guess what it was recognised through a referendum!!!!!! And it was contained in an international treaty! The good Friday agreement lodged at the united nations no less by which sovereign nation state? Ohhhhh, that would have been the Republic. So, in conclusion, I am not living in a dream world, but you seem to be! And you don't appear to accept the legitimacy of referendums to boot, but you're advocating a border poll?
  16. Glosshan surely! Had a couple of crackers last weekend
  17. Dr D

    YES!!!!!

I voted to remain. Most of northern Ireland voted to remain. But the majority of the UK voted out. That's democracy. So, fair enough let's get on with it. Negotiate our relationship asap with the EU. Exercise as much control as we can of our economy, borders and territorial waters. Be friendly with our nearest neighbours and make this place a successful, thriving, multicultural, outward looking, globally relevant, strong, independent sovereign nation state.
  18. And therein lies your problem, the assumption that people in this place view themselves as Irish, rather than British. It's not a case of being anti-Irish, it just they don't want to be leave the UK to become part of another sovereign state. You knew that. Everyone living here knows that! That's why we spent decades killing each other pointlessly.
  19. I've been keeping my head down for a while. But feel the urge to get involved with this one. I heard one figure today saying there has been a 200% increase in the applications in NI for Irish passports. Now, I dare to suggest this is absolutely no indication of a sudden urge to leave the UK and join Ireland. It's simply clever people reacting, somewhat over zealously and hedging their bets post brexit. Or, in other words having your cake and eating it. There isn't going to be a border poll here. And if there was a majority would vote to stay in the UK. Whoever thinks the institutionalised politics of this place has somehow been swept aside in a mass hysteria of suddenly realising we want to be European citizens, has either been sniffing something very strong or lost a grip on reality.
  20. Well done. Nice bag. Personally I only count what I pick. Anything else feels bit like hooking a fish that gets off.

    Mini Digger Hire

I got one last year to dig out a hedge. I was great fun and after few days I really got the hang of it. Or so I thought. Then a guy I know hopped in. He works on sites a drives a big beast for a living. He moved a levelled 30 tons of stones that I had been playing about with for hours in no time. Lessons?!?!? Doing it yourself may be fun, but it can also be a false economy.
  22. Doc Here's a little bit of advice based on personal experience. If you are going, stay for at least 5 days. The extra cost of two more nights in a hotel when you have already paid to get there will be minimal in the grand scheme of things. I did the three day thing a few years ago. It was too much. The travel getting there, plus a little bit of jet lag (don't know why because I have never had it since) plus trying to see as much as possible, was exhausting. 5 days is much better. It allows you to pace yourself. Enjoy.
  23. Looks like you found a solution. Well done

    New decoys

You doubt my bona fides? Everyone's so sceptical these days.
  25. I really liked that post. I don't care much for the size of the bag. Give me a strong return flight line, wild wind and a high cartridge to kill ratio any day.
