  1. I have a 391 beretta and i clean it every 500-1000 shots ,it seems to work a little better with a little dirt in it. I do not put any oil on the gas piston or gas piston rod after cleaning it and i use very little oil on all the rest of the gun. I have hound that if you oil the gun to much it will burn off and carbon up the gun and make things stick and jam. The best oil i have found is Rem oil by Remington it is very light oil with anti-rust, just spray a little on and wipe it off. When the gun get wet i clean it and put that stuff on and it comes up like a new pin
  2. I am shooting a 391 beretta , it will shoot any 70mm shell or bigger , from 24grm to 56grm no problem . A BIG BUT is 65mm light loads . I get one or two jams not all the time but one is to meany for me. It is not so much a brand thing but a size thing. My old remington 1100 was the same, it was not to happy with short light loads I just buy a mid priced shell like the C.S sporting red . It works every time no problem
  3. Not sure about the Eley first in any size. I shoot 7.5, 8 and 9 at sporting targets with no real problem
  4. If it is a Hull and it's 28gr, it is going to knock you around. If it is there cheaper stuff just dont seem to have any pounder in then
  5. Not sure about the car but i want one .God it handle well i just got to get one
  6. If you are shooting plastic wad and us plastic all the time , then good luck with the fibre . I hate fibre with a passion. It paturns bad and kicks more. As for the shot size you will not see to much change beween a 7.5 and an 8
  7. I bought a Grand Cherokee on a 2002. I saw that merc motor and said to my self , It`s a merc what can go wrong they go forever..How wrong i was . The shorter list was what did not go wrong with it. It just seems to be a big money pit , but i am so far in with it now that hopefully i have all the jobs covered. Will i buy an old 4x4 again with a 100.000 miles plus, never again
  8. Put a set on , on friday they seam to work well in the snow. There is a little road noise . Now see what they are like in the mud this week
  9. Looking to buy a set on saturday so i will let you know how things go
  10. I think ALL new guns are made that much cheaper than they used to be. The finnish is not as good , the metal and wood just seem to be made ,just not that well anymore on the cheaper and middle end of things. I think 1200 - 1700 pound for a new gun is a lot of money ?. Maybe i am wrong ?
  11. I would rather die than go shopping with the wife so i share your pain.. Just push it out with your cleaning rod. It will be job dun and NO nasty shopping trip
  12. A Remington 1100 is a good place to start and 400 quid you should have some money left in the bank Yes i know they are OLD but they are cheap and there are loads about
  13. I used to shoot pistols and rifle at a near by club. When the pistols got band the club closed , so i p/x my rifle for an old Remington 1100 . It still shoot really well and it will always have a place in my gun box. My first new shotgun was a 686 game gun back in 1995 wicth i have just p/x to buy a new MK38 sporter
  14. I have been to the new and old shop. They are nice people ,strate and fair what more can i say
  15. I had a 686 E and shot the **** out of it for 12 years and i still got more for it when i P/X it than i paid for it new. Sounds funny but i swopped it in for a miroku MK38
  16. WHY a Bettinsoli.. Not sure i get it. When you have a 682 gold at home ??
  17. Just buy a Remington 1100 it is one of the best guns in your price range. There are loads out there for not a lot of money
  18. If the cartridge is 65mm you are more than likely going to get trouble. I have a beretta 391 and on 65mm cartridges i get all sorts of problems. I have used 67mm fiocchi top 1 in 28g. You might get the odd problem with them , but for 100% no problem just buy a 70mm cartridge and hopefully it should be plane sailing
  19. Yes you are so right about the cabinet. I had to buy one for muzzle loaders
  20. I am looking for shotgun that is light for field work. Are there any problems that i should know about with the gun ?
