  1. I’ve bought a small item on eBay that’s collection only. I need it picked up from the seller and then delivered to me. The item is in Cheltenham and I’m in Newcastle, so it’s a long drive if I have to do it myself. Who have you used in the past?
  2. Both grandfather’s were miners. They told me some stories. One described himself as a slave to the coal seams. One fact I can remember, if you left the mine, you had to be out of your colliery house the same day you finished. Kind of had miners by the balls……
  3. Express do a nice 25gm cartridge. They jump up quite a bit to 28gm. I can’t tell the difference.
  4. Made my day. I can’t stand either of them….
  5. Before I start I’m not a fan of trump. But I’m not a hater, more enjoy the comedy value. Having spent a lot of time with American people over the years, many who vote for him simply do it to make a point. Some children in the USA are born to be politicians and this is hated by many Americans. So Trump is their big FY to what they see as a corrupt system. Other (normal people) think he’s a good politician and gets stuff done, not worrying about woke rubbish. The big issue, we are not American and why should we expect them to think like us. Had I the right to vote for Trump or H Clinton. I’d have voted for Trump every time. Just like people voted for Boris instead of Jezza.

    Gti

I had a GTI (but without the gold in the fore end) but it had the gold inlay. It’s the only gun I have ever regretted selling. I’ve had 325’s, 425’s and a range of different Miroku. Even though they are all similar, none have ever shot as sweet.
  7. Thanks for everyone’s thoughts. Going to have a look at a AWD Vitara & Kuga.
  8. I had one when they first come out. Possibly a 59 plate. Black titanium AWD. I have had a look online at them. I did say no Vauxhall and I’d probably write Dacia off as well. Although they must have a new model out that looks quite nice. Thanks for your reply.
  9. Looking to replace one of our cars. Just wondering what people have bought recently. Ideally I need a mid SUV, cheap to run with AWD but not a real mud plugger as I need it reasonable for a 50 mile daily commute. I’m also not bothered about the make, but not Vauxhall. The boss and I both have the same spec 2017 Nissan X Trail & qashqui. Tekna level / 1.6TD / AWD which we bought from new. I’ve looked at the nearly new X Trail as my first option. suggestions.
  10. I’ve been quoted between £5.60 and £7.50. Partridges £11.
  11. If and when you want / buy an ooni. Go gas. Hot in 15 mins and cold in 15 min. Although not recommended you can also use them in outbuildings. Heat cooks pizza, not smoke, Woodfire pizza means it’s been cooked, simples.
  12. Watch for a secondhand buffalo machine on eBay. Semi professional and you can pick up bargains.
  13. At one point I was a member of NGO / BASC / CA. I am still in NGO and CA. I left BASC partially for their (poor) leading stance on lead shot, their terrible promo / marketing of the sport (even after spending a massive amount of members money on a news studio) but mainly for their clique / jobs for the boys young shots scheme. I’m not going into the details, as it was a few years ago and I had it out with their North East regional staff at the time - who couldn’t argue with the facts I shared. Now my son is well past that age I’ve had it out with them again for others this season as they haven’t changed. So there you go Mr BASC…..

    Retirement

To retire. You have to have started work!
  16. Pre April price increase I was paying £330 a month. With a few (some insignificant - some significant) changes, I’m now (after 2 price increases) looking at well under £300 a month and have £1000 in credit for the expensive winter months. Underfloor heating turned off. Replaced old appliances. Lazy spa not been on since last winter. Tumble drier for emergencies only. Everyone in the house on board - lights and washing etc Cook most oven based stuff in an air frier.

    Cruise ships.

Still reasonably young (under 50) and have done a few Disney cruise and just this summer a cruise with carnival. The ships are big enough to handle the load in people, they are designed to handle that number, they are ideal if you want to see thing with ease. Eg - we done an 11 day cruise round the Med, seen the leaning tower of Pisa, when you’ve seen it, you’ve seen it, I don’t need to look at it for 2 weeks. This summer went to the Cayman Islands, again had a tour for a day and I’ve been. I’d probably be bored there for more than a day or two….. Food is quality, drink is top brands and if you buy the drinks package there is no need to worry. I’d not do one every year, maybe every 4 or 5 to see different places round the world. I’m also not a people person….
  18. Hoggs of fife moleskin breeks and barbour waxed leggings (not trousers).
  19. There was a post a few weeks ago. No cons….. (that I know of, other than the initial outlay) and size is important. 😂
  20. But they won’t go anywhere…. Everything belongs to the crown, which belongs to the UK. Of course they drip feed money back into the economy…. They employ people. Also, I ain’t a lover or hater of the royal family (I do however dislike the extended lot). If it makes you feel any better, I’ll drop £1 (what they cost you per year) into your PayPal account.
  21. You speak rubbish. Charles has inherited a lot of money. He’s not selling up and moving anywhere. William will do the same, then George etc etc. It will always belong indirectly to the country.
  22. Like Dave said. you’ll get a good fit straight off the shelf from any of the big 5 makers - browning, beretta, miroku, CG, Blaser. A newish or lightly shot older gun will save you a few dollars and if wood / engraving is your thing, a nicer to look at gun. if you don’t have a big dealer close by its worth travelling and just make it a day out.
  23. That’s where we were. Worked great. Only allows 4G but was fast enough for YouTube and Google maps - car play everywhere we didn’t have wifi. Make sure you have plenty money…… you’ll need it!!!!!!
  24. Single is fine, but I’d buy the double drawer next time.
  25. 3 PAYG sim. £10 for 16GB. No roaming charges. no need to register it, it works as soon as you put it in the phone and sends you a text with your number. You can only 10GB a month when roaming…. You’ll need to check the country list.
