  1. Both are made by Miroku. You get more gun for the money with Miroku. Trust me - I have owned a fair number of both.
  2. I think it is because of the oversize bores. I have a 682 E Gold and a Caesar Guerini. Both get the same streaks for about 6" just in front of the chamber. I use a new bronze brush and barrel cleaner. The old brush and boresnake are fine for the rest of the barrel, but don't exert enough pressure for the first six".

  4. Went today. Nice layout. The ground looks far better with the signs up.
  5. As a true Lancastrian I can say that Cornwall is the most beautiful county in the country and a lot of other countries. Assuming I had car parking, I could spend the rest of my life in St Ives. That said - Lancashire has some beauty spots and nice beaches. Lytham has the sands - Morecambe is on the way up.
  6. Now those I don't remember. Their website has improved beyond recognition.
  7. They came with flush fitting from memory. I had one a couple of years ago.
  8. Mungler - classic - made me laugh.
  9. Robbly - I'm with Beretta on this one. You do not sound to be using maintained lead with the Skeet gun. Sounds more like swing through and bang.
  10. The famous auction site £19.95 made by Carlson (Open Season). I bought one - well pleased.
  11. Completely different guns with different characteristics - weight, barrel length, comb height etc. Stick with the Beretta.
  12. Leeds United - going through bad times.
  13. A sad loss of an absolute character.
  14. Happyhunt - I said I did not agree with your description of Malmo, but I am amazed at the flak that has suddenly descended upon you. Why? The thread was all over and done with - then this rubbish.
  15. Happyhunt - Thanks for adding to your post, which explains fully why you hold your view. I have to say that I believe "thieves" is too strong, but I also appreciate that I am not the one who got a low offer and I imagine I would be feeling a little miffed - to put it mildly. I have only traded in one gun at Malmo and I got more than I was hoping for. That was £25 less than I paid for the gun. I think I paid £975 and got £950 trade in against a new Guerini. Their price for the Guerini was cheaper than anywhere else I could find - so I left happy.
  16. Well done. By the way, the wood on the Winchester has some very nice grain. I've had a few, but none with that level of wood.
  17. I have had two done - one for £80 - which was just up and down - job was as a good as factory finish. The second had sideways movement - cost £100, but I was not as good as the first. Gunsmith in Oldham. These are not Graco and appear home made, but from better materials. Andy on here had one done at Doveridge - cost about £150, but was excellent. Lastly, I have done one myself. Just need a bit of nerve for the big cut, the rest is half an hour with a Dremel and a bit of drilling / tapping. This used the Graco system bought from the Gun Cupboard. It wasn't really designed for extensive usage in my book.
  18. Happyhunt - you are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine. The original poster asked for help. Many, including myself have commented on Malmo, but put a bit more detail. The comment you made, would probably make the potential buyer a bit wary, as it would me. No-one is interrogating you and you can be as brief as you want - it just didn't seem helpful in terms of what the lad asked.
  19. I wear Le Chameau gloves when it's cold. I have three finger dislocations and a fair number of broken bones in my hands, from my younger days. They get a bit sore when they get cold.

  21. It has to be time delay. He is getting the results early and the draw is not really live. You couldn't watch his prediction and buy a ticket - the lottery had closed. To be truly impressive, he would win the Lottery himself every week or let others do it by predicting earlier, whilst the Lottery was still open.
  22. Well done to Cheryl. Cat - excellent write up - as usual - and photos which capture the occasion. My guess for the FITASC couple from "Oop North" would be Colin and Elaine Foden.
  23. Barrel length? Choke? Any photos? Is it the 916 T or 916A - fixed or detachable barrel?
  24. I have owned a considerable number of Brownings - last one an XT - and own a Miroku MK38. I also own a Beretta 682E Gold and a Caesar Guerini. I think Brownings 9Miroku) give you more gun for the money, so that is where my vote went. I am using the 682 E Gold at the moment and like it. Both are top makes.
