i use my lab for tracking deer he has found every deer he has been sent after the furthest he has tracked one is about 300yrds he will also keep deer at bay if they are still alive but unfoutunatly he has started retreving roe deer if they are light enough which couses damage to the carcass. my friend uses a GWP and it is a great dog for deer if i was going to have a dog just for deer i would have one this dog has also helped add countlass deer to the bag by pointing them .

i have been using a cage trap at the local stables for quite awhile now and after i got back from scotland i caught a rabbit every day for 2 weeks then i caught a fox which had gone in after a rabbit since then i have not caught one all the bait has been going from around the trap but they wont go in i think it is because of the foxy smell so i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get rid of the smell any advice will be welcome

i have to totall agree with Col Pol i have found that the deer always seem to run if it is aware of your presence yet if it has no idea you are there it will drop instantly or after stumbling only a couple of yrds.

there were 6 of us there 3 of us passed and i was one of the lucky ones who did i got 48 out of 50 on the questions  , 30 out of 30 on the slides , 10 out of 10 on my safety , but the only problem was on my first attempt on the shooting i failed i put 3 bullets in a 3/4 inch group 5 inches high and 2 left i could not beleve it i must have knoked it a hell of a lot as it has been shooting all right all week. so i borrowed a gun and passed straight through after that. the end result a good pass i got the best marks there we took the test at his farm in abberley.

Well Wish me luck my exams tomorrow i should do ok because i have been averaging about 45 out of 50 on the exam questions and i have done a mock shooting test twice and past both times but my dad said we are foecast some strong winds tomorrow so that may let me down.
