  1. wow, serious bag of geese there fella. i would be happy to shoot those in a single season let alone a flight. do you use the 12 or a ten bore up there in scotland?
  2. nice bag daz thick fog up here today
  3. fantastic gun mate. if you were up the road from me in hull i would have it for my young lad. the scab on the barrel is nothing a bit of wire wool and some blueing creme wouldn't sort! very good price i would say
  4. thanks for the weekly update pc. you never fail to produce the goods useful to note the crop contents, helps us all understand where there feeding and what on
  5. thanks for that sprackles some useful info there mate. i have eaten plenty of codling, whiting and flatties caught off the beach but never the humber. i always imagined a muddy taste as i have eaten eels and trout from the river hull near to the entrance to the humber and they were very muddy but i imagine they were in the river hull for quite some time.
  6. don't know where you will get a stock mate. not sure if the old axsor are the same this might be of help www.fxoc.info/ worth a look on ebay sometimes.

  9. it's a tough call mate, but that tail does look like a foxes brush
  10. nice, looks to have more ground clearance than the old kawasaki mule they use on a dairy farm that i shoot. does it have 4 wheel drive?
  11. always wondered but do the fish taste muddy [if eaten] when caught out of the humber?
  12. surely a fox with a tail like that! strangely moves a bit like a badger though
  13. excellent bag fella looks like duck is on the menu for a while
  14. nice bag there fella. are you a member of a club or do you acces to the foreshore via a farmer?
  15. see how much you rfd wants for the job hedd. it might be easier. failing that others here have give good advice, just take your time marking it out before you drill
  16. sometimes helps if you ring and inform them you are going out. {but not always}. re assuring in a way to know they are out looking for dodgy lamping with dogs etc. pain in the **** though
  17. some fantastic ideas about waterproofing your shells coming up here. why not just dry them out when you return from the flight. dry them out and wipe over with an oily rag. after all it's what you do with your gun and it stops that rusting. This all i have ever done is and there are no rusty shells in my belt. if i happened to submerge steel shot shells in water i would fire them asap or make them safe and discard them
  18. yep as above Dave, all of the three mentioned are good freindly grounds and not far from driffield. also worth a look is cottondale on the road from driffield to scarborough. approx 10 miles from driffield it is set in lovely countryside and has some very testing targets.
  19. nice write up pc i don't think you will have any problem making a bragging book if that's whats needed
