No you just cant shoot birds or kill birds that are coming to an electronic caller of any sort You can call them manually though

We recently clear felled a large plantation - the number and colours of old cartridges was amazing RED BLUE BLACK YELLOW WHITE GREEN BROWN It really must be fairly recent where yellow is seen as for 20 etc etc

I dont think this is legal to use to lure in birds to shoot in the UK

I think most of these traps work best in the breeding season I dont many people who use them at this time of the year I was hoping yours would work to be honest as i was going to dust ours off and start again We had a terrible time trapping this year full stop and i dont know why - having said that my success rate at shooting them has gone through the roof and i am getting between 10/20 most days im out on the pigeon

Yeah i have left foxes out but with them been laid flat and a bit worse for wear the crows pay little attention - I was thinking more of a properly posed taxidermy job

Im not sure - so many "shots" have no idea of the challenges we are facing and or the need to try and do something about it We must all make more efforts to challenge the bad press we get and promote our sport and indeed the good conservation work we do. I challenge / post positive aspects on various Instagram sites - eg RSPB - Defra - Countryfile - Springwatch - Wildlife trusts etc etc I also write highlighting issues and positives to my MP and opposition MP. I have had the MP and a few local councillors to our shoot and showed them the work we do. Does it help ? Maybe - but i know if more of us did it then it surely would

Cant beat a pond or two I love digging them and watching them fill and get used by so much life They are an absolute magnate for the pheasants too

We have a few and even the spring feds ones are just starting to dry up

We use GWCT - cheap - and give something proper back

I have never known a fox take a corvid to be honest

I think i perhaps need to keep focusing it - i tend to use thermal mostly which is just up and bang

I think all of us that shoot have a duty to shoot crows and magpies as we see the damage they do
