    Cheap tele sight

I have nearly finished doing the stock and metalwork on a weirauch springer it has a v sight on the back and what's left of a hooded front sight on the front. It's to try to get a 13 year old into shooting.I was asked if I could do anything with the rifle by his dad. It had been in a shed for years and was red rusty. After a lot of wire wooling and soaking in diesel its looking pretty good. The woodwork i have stripped back and stained. I was wonderIng if anyone had a cheap telescopic sight that I could put on to start him off plinking.Nothing fancy just something simple.
  5. The more I look at it I think it's off something I used to own.Could it be the frame off a vicon till sower. The waggly tube one not the disc spreader.circa 1970's
  6. We had liver and onions, spring cabbage with local butter melted into it and home grown carrots.Have to admit i needed bread to mop up the gravy.

    Gat gun

we had some fun with these didn't we. I bet one of these set a lot of us off on our current shooting paths.
  8. I'd like to listen to podcasts on my android phone. How on earth do I go about it I'd like to download them and save for later. Also any good shotgun shooting ones recommended. Thanks in anticipation
  9. Mine are I socks and I too have never had any rust. They are all coated with a light film of oil.Just like things to be belt and braces that's all. Do you just place the sachets on the bottom of the cabinets?
  10. Following on from the cabinet heater post.I have never had any problems with damp in the cabinets, but I was wondering about the effectiveness of the VP 90 sachets.More of a preventative measure. My guns were soaked through after clay shooting in a deluge that wasn't expected.Whilst they were stripped and oiled, ejectors removed etc.Didnt remove the stocks though. Just wondered what they were like in use.
  11. I have the side by side version in 3 " magnum. As ditchy said brilliant little gun
  12. I got a similar one from toolstation, the one i got has a function that allows it to be hands free, just wave in front for on same again for off.I use it for beach fishing at night.USB rechargable and a good battery life on low.think it was a tenner as well.
  13. Totally agree with browning123. However ridiculous it is.It is I suppose a distant possibility just think of the revenue it would generate.
  14. Absolutely amazing can damn near pick it up its so realistic.
  15. I have no words that can describe your talent. Love the dry stone wall one.
  16. I find that we get quite a few finches throughout the summer but only on the nyger seed feeder.Sparrows galore on the wild bird seed.
  17. Carried mine around last weekend. It was in a slip and no-one batted an eyelid. As invisiblescarecrow said never leave it in the car.
  18. Those were well shot indeed.I started clay shooting with the same model of gun.Nothing wrong with them at all. Great to have another newcomer to the sport.
  19. I was with the family today at the Lancashire game and country fair when I came across the forest of bowland moorland keepers stand. The 2 lads that were there were immaculately turned out in tweeds. My 8 year old grandson was very curious and they took their time to explain the exhibits. They had a great display and it really was eye-catching.We discussed various topics one being united utilities, grouse brood numbers and what surprised me was the amount of predation they get from gulls. They take large numbers of leverets as well as grouse chick's. Living on the coast we are used to them. But they were telling me of the large numbers that raid the moors. The lads were a credit to the profession.
  20. Not liking the backdrop and the way in which they stand up to present the show.
  21. Yes the 7.62 slr was a very capable rifle.
