  1. Not pinching the thread just curious .As you say you used steel and a couple were not clean kills could steel shot be a contributing factor?
  2. Judging by the picture on the box,You have a mission another gun and a searchlight to find. I think it's brilliant,a simple toy hours of fun and no screen involved
  3. Can't help you with the answer I'm afraid but it's a belter.
  4. Following on from the winter condensation etc. Does anyone know of a product that would leave the windscreen clean and streak free.I have tried using a new microfiber cloth and it's better. But would really like it better.especially with low sun.
  5. It's ridiculous.A gunsmith, gunshop pays business rates the same as any business.Tax the same as any other business. Its certainly a legitimate and no way underhand business. It stinks that they should be treated this way.Its a pity that business groups don't demand a level playing field.
  6. It was for undoing them. I tighten them by hand and it was very tight. I do grease the threads so it wasn't stuck just tight.
  7. Thanks for that link. I couldn't find anything the other day.Ill need to measure one of the chokes but it looks a possibility.
  8. Does anyone have any links or know where I can get a small c spanner to fit winchokes.Tried our local motor factors to no avail. I have the original winchester one but the radius isn't too near the correct size and it is pretty poor really.
  9. Hi all. I have bought a Rizzini E as a back up,walked up gun.Its in cracking nick, multichoke but only has 2 chokes with it. Think it's half an three-quarter.Does anyone have any kicking around for sale please.Local gun shop hasn't any.
  10. I have the exact same gun and it's a cracker.Im going to use it to teach my grandson and granddaughter on clays.
  11. Nothing too complicated about that. Will be a great project. The NVT on the clocks indicate it was made by Norton,Villiers,Triumph at the Meriden factory.
  12. Sorry should have said NVT on the clocks.looks like one of the last ones to be made with drum front brake.Coukd you put some more pics up.Out of interest really.
  13. Is it the oil in frame model with not on the clocks. Belting project. Will make a great bike when done.
  14. Low compression or a more likely cause is an air leak between the carb and cylinders either the manifold or head
  15. My son has the same for years. He loves them never had a problem with them. For the money they are good value.
  16. Just a thought. The cheddite cartridges I use are a pound cheaper per 250 than steel 7.5's,Could there be a sudden increase above steel prices forcing the steel cartridge to be cheaper.Could all these price rises be for another motive.
  17. That's such a shame. Is it by any chance a Marlin goose gun.Or the mossberg equivalent (looking at the choke system). Either way it's a shame another generation couldn't enjoy the fun you had.And your father's too.It has a place in family history.
  18. Are they as good as advertised me and the good lady are now on our own. They seem ideal as putting the oven on is not always cost effective. Sorry not wanting to hijack the thread. We are in a similar position looking to buy one if suitable.
  19. Not forgetting the folding pocket knife with "Africa" on it and a picture of an elephant. Most newsagents and hardware shops stocked them.It was certainly a different country back in my childhood days.
  20. We called it splits no one ever bothered us it was normal play. Sheath knife on the belt most days in the summer holidays.
  21. Supermarkets have dictated the prices for too long.Plenty of stuff at our local farm shops though.Maybe a little dearer but it's where we try and shop.It all lasts longer too.
  22. I seem to recall that it's not too good in cold weather.Mines in the garage but if I bring it into the house for a couple of days it's fine.
