  1. Mine havnt had a decent walk for a couple of days now because it's too hot, went outside at 5am and the tarmac was hot too touch
  2. I'm picking some up tomorrow for 60 quid from a shop local to me
  3. Lyalvale pigeon power 6 quid a box if buying a slab of 250 here, I dare say you will get it cheaper if you buy a couple of thousand
  4. That is a good deal! Thanks for posting
  5. Worked ok with me, don't like it though too oily!
  6. Quality vehicles these, I'd love one if I had the coin!
  7. My sister had a few major ops (full spinal op for scoliosis and 3 brain ops) and she says it helps so much, more so than the morphine she takes daily. Even my grandma uses it!
  8. It will do both, get a round tuppaware box with a seal in the lid, drill the base slightly offset from centre, a couple of washers and some sealant and or copper washers and put it together on a base. You will need a washer that goes over the threaded section and stops at the spline section and a locknut, old phone charger and split the wires, find out which terminal you want it on and a couple of spade connectors trimmed down and heat shrunk in place and away you go
  9. Your quite correct on the terminals, I made a tumbler out of one for cleaning cases! Good idea and great gesture
  10. I bought 10 last night after finding that lol Think there old stock and they have no sticks with them
  11. Figured I'd get the Mrs to buy me some seeing as it's my bday in a couple of weeks ?? they do help though don't they!
  12. For the sake of a few quid you might as well change the pads along with brake fluid, check the discs for run out if you have the means to. I second the tyres though. Obvious things like.cleaning the chain and lubing it up

    Decoys

Wondering if anyone has any cheap decoys going? Pigeon and crow please, what have you got and how much? Many thanks
  14. Gutted for you mate, would it not have been easier putting it down? Doesn't sound like a great quality of life, I understand it's a bit more difficult than that mind. Hope the pup has quietened down for you! I think I've followed you on Instagram and the new pup is rather cute
  15. 13 or 14 weeks now, yes I've started training. Also starting her with livestock and various animals, she's used to rabbits and crows/pigeons and what not and will retrieve them if I throw them for her the usual sit, stay, here and what not along with the whistle
  16. A bit late to the party on this one, I got my springer a few weeks ago now and whilst she's mad she is picking up training like second nature, she's doing really well with it. She's related to scoby270's lad. She Has a few 'KC champions' in her lines so I'm not surprised she's got a screw loose! You won't regret it
  17. What happened to the other pup mate? Our springer pup is 14 weeks old now, I found that mentally stimulating her then sneaking upstairs did the trick, shame she learnt the stairs so quickly. Got into a routine and she's good as gold now even though I'm trying to catch up on sleep!
  18. If you rest the barrel on your sticks it will send your shots off all the time.
  19. My old man has a td5, been pretty much everywhere with it and it's been reliable bar the fuel pump went. Set of decent boots and it was good to go. My Jimmy will go quite literally anywhere I take it, doesn't matter if it's muddy or dry it goes there. I did get stuck once, dropped tyres down to 14 pound and drove out, pumped them up back on the road. I have a pump in the car that plugs into the fag lighter for when that happens! Best 40 quid I've spent
  20. I second the last bit, guy I know came off on the day he didn't have boots on, shattered his leg and he' not been right since. His legs effectively jelly so he tried cutting it off so they would amputate... all to save 5 minutes not putting his boots on
  21. +1, loin I call backstrap and the salmon fillet is lovely!
  22. I've read this one a lot, if I remember rightly there's no difference at short range at all, longer range you can load the 223 with light bullets and near enough match the 204. You also have a lot more bullet selections to choose from in 223, 35g to 90g or so if you have the twist for it
  23. Nice reply that mate, get some sportsmatch picatinny high mount for about 30 quid, get your scope in them loosely, make sure your rifle in unloaded obviously and flat (Use a small bubble level on the rail) and a piece of string with a weight on the end off the ceiling and line the scope up with that horizontally, then boresight at 25 yards or so ( rifle on a rest, bolt out, look down the bore to a target 25 yards away and align the scope with with you can see in the target) then get some shots down range and to get on paper, move to 100 yards and get a good zero and your good to go Why would you when you can sort it yourself? If you've spent good money on kit you might aswell learn to use it, if your out in the sticks and something happens and you knock your rifle/scope you've just ended your days shooting. You could have paid good money to shoot so it would be a waste
  24. Different scopes are marked in different ways, on mine if you dial it the mark is to the right whereas on one if my other it' opposite so I always get bloody confused. Glad you sorted it
