  1. Well worth a watch, what a shooter And this
  2. On paper... you said it right there lol. New jeeps are pretty shocking, can't remember which model it was but last year possibly year before they broke down on average every 2k miles from new
  3. Wildcat predator if you want quiet
  4. Change the pipe aswell, no point doing half a job. I've personally seen turbos go because the oil pipe hasn't been changed. Also, any warranty will be void if you don't replace it
  5. 22 hornet instead of the hmr and the 243, as others have said a 223 for nightvision use. If you put premium optics on the 243 you may find they won't work well with an add on nv so then you need to swap scopes around constantly
  6. With hmr ammo only going up in price of go for either a 22wmr using 25g NTX? Bullets from hornady or the 30g vmax. Failing that, a 22 hornet and reload for it, will be cheaper than buying ammo for a hmr
  7. Mike was my first port of call, trying to get some but he is unsure when his next order is. Not tried A&D but will give them a ring, thanks
  8. I don't suppose anyone near Macclesfield has any federal 150g soft point PowerShok they want rid of? I am struggling to get hold of any here. Many thanks
  9. They are getting a good size, il try and post a pic. Unfortunatly not, on neighbouring land so can't shoot them, until they start causing a nuisance il leave them be, got a nice dog fox though the same day whose been eating lambs
  10. Found an earth with 6 out at the weekend
  11. You are quite right, also a mechanic and I know the feeling!! Get out as often as you can, that's what I do!!
  12. What ever fits you and you like best. I would have got a tikka t3 but they felt like a kids toy, there also quite a small rifle. Not made for the 'larger' person I don't think, I've got a howa 1500 and my 308 is a savage axis, for 300 quid for the savage I can't complain, half inch groups at 100 and it doesn't bother me that it gets covered in blood and mud!
  13. If they've got any common sense they will anyway! Im also for 308. Federal 150g PowerShok groups half inch at 100 through my rifle and its £22 for 20 so £1.10 a round. Not worth reloading for! Good luck with whatever you choose
  14. Should sell quick this, if I had the money I'd be up for it! Good luck
  15. Had no issues with gates belts+tensioners if that helps
  16. Not had that, hence the if I have missed it's been a clean miss...
  17. Not what I've seen mate, if I've missed it's been a clean miss and when it hits it's an instant death When I did my dsc1 there were a few people who failed, funnily enough they were the all the gear no idea sorts or Mr I am...
  18. All comes down to handloaded ammo and a steady trigger pull. Yeh I stretched it out and saw what it would be on paper to 400 or so and was maybe couple on inches on a very good day, perfect conditions. The joys of crows are it's either a deadly hit or a clean miss. Wouldn't take a fox or rabbit/hare at that range for obvious reasons like injuring it
  19. When I got my last gsd she had an umbilical hernia, went on its own never caused a problem
  20. It's only a heron, they still have a brain and a thin skull... pellet in the noggin and down it goes same with most things. Fieldsports Britain did a test on a fox skull with a sub 12ftlb air rifle and it penetrated the skull, or cracked it. Either way, it's doable
  21. Did a bit with a 223, howa 1500 pred 8 mod mtc genesis 5-20x50 scope, 55g vmax over cfe223, ragged hole at 220 til I changed to 53g vmax and still havnt done a load for it (not a silly accurate one, 3/4 inch at 100) stopped when I sold my range finder to buy another rifle if you get the correct info input in strelok along with a good wind reading and a steady shot you would be surprised what you can do mate ? Couldn't have said it much better
  22. Sounds pretty normal that, just if something happens to diff when they change the oil they can say 'it says there is something there'... as arm3000gt says check it in 20k or so
  23. Sounds like there getting better, had a few issues with them end of last year but once sorted it was quick. In saying that, when ever I've had an issue with them and resolved it they have always been quick to sort it out
