  1. How come when ever someone on here mentions a long range shot people get so tetchy? If you don't want to take shots at longer range then don't, if you go out and shoot at longer ranges on paper and can do so accurately why not put it in to practise? I'm confident taking crows to 600 on good conditions however I have spent time loading ammo, testing it, trajectory validation and so on. If you can put it in the right place whose to argue? Ok so the HMR isn't the tool for the job with inconsistencies but I've stretched mine to 220 or so with a box of accurate ammo (can't say I've done it since mind) practise and practise some more then some more and if your confident doing that crack on ? ps, the field craft part doesn't come in to it for me, I ain't shooting a red at 15 yards with a 308, excessive meat damage and the fact it really isn't very sporting comes to mind
  2. Greenstuffs are great on the road if you give them a bit of stick, it is however a modification and as such needs to be declared to the insurance! If you need any help with pads pm me your number and il give you a bell and help sort some out. Prices i get them for that is, that's at trade!
  3. Your group is the reason I couldn't get some range time for some load development then wanted to get out the weather for a bit hope you enjoyed it and hope you passed mate

  10. There are some great reply's on here... if he did it fair play to him, having never owned a 22lr I don't know the ballistics and drop at x distances so cant comment on that but what I will say is I've taken some long shots with an air rifle and acieved a clean kill, I used to often take shots with my hmr well over 200 yards and acieve clean kills only missing a couple of times. I wouldn't let a novice take shots like that however unless they could shoot well. The best was a tad over 250 with the hmr and a perfect headshot however due to inconsisencies in ammo and the fact over 200 they don't reliably expand I don't bother anymore, we've all shot things that people would say are too far to be shooting at and I for one know if you mention over 40 yards with an air rifle people get a bit nouty about it but the right conditions, the right ammo and a rough knowledge of range estimation then why not if you can pretty much guarantee a clean kill?
  11. If you can get me the code (you need the keys, 4 in total 1 in each corner there a pain) I will get it from Ford free. Be careful of some sites for the code as a few codes like the V codes can' be had from them. Pull the stereo out of if you can get behind it by going under the glovebox you may be able to get your phone behind it for the code.
  12. What is it you need? I personally can't help but my old man and grandpa are truckers. Pm me if you need
  13. Still laughing 5 mins later
  14. Jeeps can be an absolute ball ache to fix and maintain, parts are extortionate. The last 3 ive seen have gone to the scrap with major engine faults and wiring faults that made them not worth repairing
  15. Skoda yeti, good on fuel, good 4wd system if you get the 4x4 one, plenty of space for dogs and kit and good for commuting
