  1. Very bright little dogs that like to be the centre of attention, they can be a disruptive influence if they don't get all their own way. I know several people that have had similar issues with fighting & it's not only dogs, bitches are no different.
  2. Castration wont work, you need to get rid of one of them. You aren't the first person to have this issue with Cockers.
  3. I was only supposed to do one but I ended up riding four times, I only regret waiting until I was 41, I'd have done an awful lot more if I'd started sooner. Total commitment from Christmas on, ride a bike twice a week, gym, no booze, no cakes etc etc. Never added up the expense but it wasn't cheap, a new bike in February was extremely second hand by the second week of May. I've got 20+ years of helping run the Scott but never really enjoyed riding it. It does give you the two biggest buzzes you'll every get on Trials bike though, going off the ramp in the morning & coming back up the field in the afternoon knowing you've gone round in time.
  4. Brought back some happy memories for me. I remember my first year being a bit of shock, until you get the knack you just sink on the moors. Fair play to him, when you can ride a bike well it's a tough week but when you have to carry one round like he is it must be nigh on impossible. He was lucky it was a dry / sunny week, a wet week & i don't think he'd have finished. I'm fairly certain his riding mate is the lad I found one Scott Trial with his **** pusher stuck in his guts, it had gone through his bum bag, clothes & straight into him. I took him back to civilization & went to look for the Fell Rescue, when we got back his father had pulled it out.
  5. For sale - 240 rounds of Hornady 17gr V-Max 10 round plastic magazine for cz452 £50 collected from Richmond North Yorkshire.
  6. I need some waterproof seat covers for my Hilux. What brand are any good? All the ebay ones look tat to me. I fancy a neoprene set from Australia but the import costs will make them expensive,
  7. My Grandparents Grey Fergy ran on TVO, it had 2 fuel tanks & you started it on petrol then switched it to the TVO once it was warm enough.
  8. You could use teabag material, http://www.jswhorseboxes.co.uk/ in Northallerton stock it
  9. Nah, you've missed the first 3 important stages, recall, recall, recall. Do nothing with the dog until it fully understands all 3.

  11. My 16 plate previous model 3.0 auto does 27 / 28 mpg. I had a new model auto top of the range on loan for a week whilst they sorted the tow bar electrics on mine & it did about 30mpg.
  12. Probably not but I did recently encourage someone with a 9 year old dog to fully health test, based on ability, pedigree & it's that shade of yellow everyone seems to rave about.
  13. I think you'd take a different view if you were running Labradors. Finding ones from a good bitch + health tests is extremely difficult.
  14. I was responding to William's post, not the original one.
  15. By next season, bar having a black cocker, I'll have gone all yellow with my labs, I find it much easier to know which one is which.
  16. It's not exactly cheap. I prefer shooting them on beaters days when they're free. I think there are days you can pick up for a single gun, the boss & his son shot last week to make up a let team where I pick up. How you actually get in the position to join a team as a spare, I've no idea.
  17. https://www.facebook.com/groups/gameshooting/ Will Templer was offering individual places on a grouse day at Scargill (Near Barnard Castle) quote - I still have 1 gun available on Friday 8th September shooting as part of a line of 9 guns, double gunning at Scargill for 100 brace. Price is £2,250 plus weather insurance of £115 plus loaders tips and keepers tip. Message me if interested.
  18. I've been out 5 days since the 12th, 1st day on the flank & 4 days picking up. According to my phone I've done 91500 steps, it would be interesting to know how far the dogs have gone.
  19. They're spring loaded / flexible at the the bottom as they wouldn't last 5 minutes if they were rigid. I'd have thought most keepers will have their grit box & trap locations gps'd as well.
  20. A keeper friend has some ready for end of July, Holydrive Kurt ex Rytex Robin.
  21. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COMMERCIAL-BUTCHERS-MEAT-GRINDER-MINCER-150kg-P-h-Production-12qrt-heavy-duty-/281828056972?hash=item419e42df8c:g:TIwAAOSwymxVQn2a Has anyone tried using one of these to mince whole chicken / pheasant?
  22. They're getting a bit rare these days as nobody seems to want a dog that light coloured. There was 3 like her in the litter & we kept the lightest one. She's got a very red pedigree though, something that you'll not find in many fox red dogs.
  23. Now you know as well as I do that they're a totally different special breed Anyway, white's the new Fox Red
