jmooney
All you fine folks have been a positive influence on me and I've longed after a British double for quite a while now and I've been haunting the web and auctions and finally came across one in my price range with the added bonus of it already having an extension installed to increase the LOP to fit me and my gorilla arms. I've contacted the company for exact date of manufacture and have yet to hear back but she's been around a while. Without further ado: William Evans boxlock circa 1913: -12ga. 28" -IC & Mod. -Double triggers -Extractors -2 1/2 chambers -Traces cc. -40% scroll engraved. -97% blue. -15 1/2 checkered butt with 1" wood piece added. Dunkield
Very nice, well done. Do these sort of guns fetch a premium in the US?
alexr
Very nice, well done. Do these sort of guns fetch a premium in the US? I have a gunsmith mate who has exported this kind of thing to the states and they make good money. They like english guns in smaller sizes it seems. 20g, 28g side by sides good birmingham or london maker seem to be the in thing.

Blackpowder
A really nice bit of kit, shooters on the west side of the pond seem to appreciate the qualities of a hand built British gun whereas many over here can hardly wait to exchange theirs for a machine made import. wymberley
Hi, Beautiful and I share your and everyone else's enthusiasm. However and I'm really sorry to be ****, but on an English gun wouldn't that be IC and 1/2? Sorry again, mate.
steveb
Got my grandfathers william evans. lovely gun to shoot, they just feel balanced and very pointable with a very positve clunk when you close the breech, mine is circa 1903 but has had a new set of barrel's on it at some point. good luck with it and enjoy, i do although it only ever comes out on a dry day when i know i dont have to crash throught the undergrowth, just incase i scratch it
