Think they should of checked their train time tables to be honest......but not good to die just because they stole some clothing etc...

;)

I love the train times comment, very good.

No sympathy at all for the dead.

Who knows what else they have done before / planning on doing again etc....... On a little Christmas spree perhaps?

Just making everyone else's life a misery, all that stopped right there, on those train tracks.

Agree though, my thoughts with the train driver. :hmm:

just a thought, if you were offered a Berghaus jacket or similar for half price or less who would say no........................just think about it................... ;) I do not condone what they did but without a market they would not have done it........

In the past YES, I done it and bought stuff, but that was before computer control etc etc when things really did fall off the back of a lorry and thats how the driver made a living, but now 20 years later you know -

1. Its fake

2. Its stolen for drug money

3. Somone has been hurt to get it (ie - seller, manufacturer etc etc)

In 2010 (bar a few days) there is black fish (for example) coming into this country and it don't hurt anyone at all. Thats the difference.

Word to the wise; the deceased will have family and friends with internet access.....

I think this is one of those cases where if you can't say anything nice then best to say nowt.

Good point, especially for those in those parts. Hardly The Italian Job though, was it?

Walk a mile in his shoes, at least then if you want to abuse him you are a mile away and he is in bare feet ;)

If this was in some states in the USA I believe the others would be charged with thier murder. it is a a crime and association thing. If the coppers shoot one of the gang the ones who are caught are charged with the murder.

Makes you think if we had laws like that would people think more about stealing or other petty crime which might be harmless until the chase to escape happens.

Also like ramming a copper with a car, in the states thats attempted murder not just criminal damage. (either that or i have been watching too many Police Action type programs on the late shifts)

watched this on the news yesterday.....while the cameras were panning the crowd around the usual bunches of flowers one or two of the people said "they were good lads"...i beg to differ,

this week robbing factories next week burgling houses and nicking people xmas presents,

yes i think a lot of us have bought "hookey" gear but it doesnt mean its right.

as said before its the train driver i feel sorry for, wil have spoilt his xmas.

and as for the lads that ran away......says it all about friendship doesnt it.....

shaun

as a footnote i noted this place they robbed hadnt been open long, would they still have been "good lads" if the owner thought sod it and closed the place down putting their neighbours on the dole....

Hardly the Italian job!!!!!! my point exactly........and its not like they were MPs claiming (stealing) at our expense if you get my drift.....

Crime breeds and feeds crime, so nip it in the bud before it can progress.

I have no sympathy for them, save tax payers money on trial and jail (all 2 weeks) that all I am sure they would have got, + probably got to go on a young offenders outdoor pursuits "team building course", possibly with quad biking :hmm:;)

I don't think they deserved to die for what they did and I feel sorry for the families involved but having said that they chose to be there so it's nobodys fault but their own. I cartainly wouldn't put flowers out for them and no matter what people say, if they were good lads they'd still be alive today.

I too feel sorry for the train driver. I just hope for his/her sake that they see that the stupid tits on the quad shouldn't have been there and it's not their fault or problem. I've never been in a situation like this but I like to think that if this kind of thing happened to me it wouldn't break me, not like it would if I hit an innocent kid or bystander.

They took a calculated risk when they got on that railway line. Maybe they should have paid more attention in maths class! ;)

I'm sure none of us are squeeky clean. We all make mistakes, but hey. Say I was unlucky with the little bomb that I got in trouble with when I was younger and it took my life (I'm told it was quite capable of it at the range I was standing and only luck sent the blast the other way). Who would have been to blame? I'd say nobody but myself. It would have been sad, but I wouldn't have died being a "good lad" would I? These things can happen if you choose to do dumb stuff. It's hard luck and it's self inflicted. There's only so much sympathy you can give to someone who's died through their own stupidity!

I disagree. As far as I'm concerned that's two more off the streets. End of.

If they were stealing to survive that would be slightly different, but these days nobody has to steal to survive because taxpayers, yes, those who were stolen from, provide housing and support for those who need it. They didn't care about the damage they do to society as a whole, so why should my heart bleed for them? It's bad luck perhaps, but nope, sorry, I'm sorry for the parents, but these lads made a concious decision to do what they did, and it went wrong. Tough.

Any premature death is terrible, but these crooks were not as smart as they thought and have paid the ultimate sacrifice.I feel sorry for their families because its they who will feel the pain of loosing a son, brother or a dad for years to come, but the men themselves get no sympathy from me.They were thieves pure and simple.
