Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
I only guessing that you have friends that you have dealing with that the fuzz are or know have links with crime or crimes. Which makes you in there eyes liable to suppy a SG or FA to aid in a crime Which is why they have reovoked your ticket totally above borad and in my view I can see why but without complete facts it hard to judge. Paddy Galore!
One of my counter signatories was a bit "unsavoury." A rum looking fella with tattoos all over his head. I didn't think the police were allowed to discriminate?

ST3V3
i've not had it revoked heres the story a guy not to far from me I know him but thats it he has both fac and sgc approx once a month his step daughters 1 live's 500 yards from him and the other about a mile both have there front door opened by the boys in blue looking for controled substances and stolen goods. a couple of months ago both daughters and there partners were arrested for class a and burglary his wife was also arrested for handling stolen goods as his house was also raided. this family is so close its unbelievable. this is why i ask as it seems strange he still holds his certs

silpig5
i was given the choice of sgc or renew sia door licence. if i wanted one it was without the other , they are not allowed to do guilt by association but it wont help you much if you are seen with them pre or post crimesthey commit
Imperfection
Im guessing it would have to be people you frequently socialise with and not general aquantanties that you might know by name.If its the latter then i would imagine most gun owners would have theirs revoked because a lot of people know someone of non pure character, but they make the choice to stay on the straight and narrow. Hell, someone i used to hang around with at school many years ago has done more porridge than Fletcher and im told he hasnt changed.
Cranfield
There use to be an offence (there may still be) of, "associating with known criminals", or similar wording. That only applied to associates and not direct family, the same principle may apply here.

fluke2
I know a lad that had his renewal refused because his new next door neighbour had previous offences concerning firearms and the loft space had no dividing wall between the houses, when he appealed the decision they agreed to renew his licence at his dads address. People worried about getting their certs revoked because they know somebody who's been in trouble, now how daft is that..?? No, nobody is worried about that at all. The OP is wondering how the third party, that he happens to know, has kept his certificates when his immediate family, including wife, have been on the wrong side of the law. He's not worried about his own certs. - only wondering about this other guy. I don't really know the answer. Has anyone heard of someone getting their license revoked because their immediate family have been up to no good? Has anyone heard of someone getting their license revoked because their immediate family have been up to no good? Not exactly answering your question but Devon and Cornwall's website states that last year 31 fac's were revoked, 16 were refused and 2 part revoked. They report that the vast majority of refusals were as a result of a medical report and revocations were more than often linked to a domestic situation. njc110381
Just out of interest, how can you partly revoke a FAC? Would that mean it's temporary rather than long term? Ie removing guns from someone because they're having problems with the mrs etc?
