How many .22lr rounds do you guys go through in a year for pest control ??? I have hold 600 rounds and purchase 500 on my Fac but I only go through 150/200 a year. My question is will my flo give me a hard time on renewal with that amount of ammo usage ???

No they won't give you a hard time. It's cheaper to buy them in 500 bricks, so there's your reason for 500 buy.

I probably do 3-400 rounds a year and I think my allocation is 500/1000

The answer to the original question should be NO, that usage should not be a problem.

As to how many anyone else uses, it's all pretty irrelevant. I guess I get through between 1000-3000 .22lr per year, depends on what work is suitable for them, how much range work I do and how much I have to use other calibres.

:good:

so runningman thats 60 rounds a day blimey you must like plinking, with a .22lr I reckon it would bore me senseless.

To the OP that will be fine you are using it and thats a reasonable amount of rabbits to eat after all. I had the suggestion to use more if I wanted to keep my allocation but at renewal it never came up.

A 500 round brick with 100 spare is very reasonable. I cannot imagine having ground that meant i fired a few thousand .22 a year - unless i was a very poor shot  I am very guilty of no longer spending much time in pur practice but there are some serious numbers going on here if its all on quarry

I think you'll find that those of us who shoot a lot of comps and practice a lot for them soon work our way thru a thousand rounds. Combine that with a hefty amount of rabbit and vermin control work and it soon starts to add up.

With the way top end competition ammunitions prices are going its getting to be a very expensive shooting hobby.
