BerettaSV10
One that feels and fits right to you I was looking at a fabarm until I picked it up and found the fit totally wrong, tried a benelli which was a perfect fit and a brillient gun. Shadowchaser
It's like asking what is the best Tv show ever made. There is no answer. People will and can only tell you their favourite. Mine being the Beretta Xtrema2. Edited March 13, 2011 by Shadowchaser
HDAV
Would love to shoot Franchi fast pro, one of the many Franchi guns GMK choose not to import into the UK!

Paddy Galore!
i've had several, an old beretta 303 was the best of them, nice stumpy 26" barrel and fixed 1/4 choke, did everything well.

I found a cartridge my a400 doesn't like today - Hushpower Subsonic 32gm. They're so soft they can't cycle the action. That's not a problem, I didn't actually want to use them, just curious. No it doesn't, it has a stronger version that is supposed to be self cleaning but it doesn't work the gun any differently. You can even interchange the 20g and 12g ones
woodentermite
I can't believe this topic is up again, you could set your watch by it! At least there are more suggestions than just Beretta Extrema 2 and Benelli M2 this time though BTW, the Benelli M2 is THE best semi in case you were wondering is that a synthetic o/u? i've never seen 1 like that before! HDAV
is that a synthetic o/u? i've never seen 1 like that before! Browing Cynergy Black ICE quite fancy one myself (hatsan do a similar thing well as similar as a hatsan can be to a browning) http://www.browningint.com/products/firearm.php?productsarea=browning&sommaire=Over%20and%20under&classe=cynergy%20sporter&famille=CYNERGY+COMPOSITE+BLACK+ICE+12M http://www.hatsan.com.tr/optima_silver_synthetic.asp My choice for best S/A http://www.franchi.com/en/catalog/semiautomatici/inerziali/fast-pro
motty
None, If you cant hit the Quarry with two shots well pack up and go home...... From a maintenance point of view the more moving parts, the more there is to go wrong...... Would not have one as a gift, however there are many who like them and good luck. TEH If there is more than two targets, it's better to have more than two shots! I've had several triples at pigeons, ducks and geese. Not saying it's best, but my xtrema was under £700 ( used), never jams and is about as versatile as you would like. Good for clays/pigeons/ducks/geese/foxes etc etc.
robster66
I currently have a fabarm XLR5, which I reckon is a bloody good gun. The build is excellent with a very nice piece of walnut which shows strong dark figuring. The metal work is very nicely done with a matte blued barrel and titanium PVD coated receiver. The gun is very smooth to shoot, and swings nicely with the 28" barrel. The barrel is deep drilled from bar stock with fabarms "tribore" system. I've been shooting various 28gm loads and it feeds/ejects perfectly with good patterns ( comes with 4 long nicely machined chokes ) I read somewhere that Fabarm produce more semi autos than anyone else in the world, and build guns for other makers which are badged as their own. They also produce for the military market. I would wholly recommend anyone having a look at this gun before they spend on the ubiquitous Benelli/Beretta semi's it really is that good. It is also 100% produced in Italy by fabarm, not part produced in Spain/Portugal as some other "Italian" guns. The gun is also proofed to 1630bar, about 20% more than anyone elses semi's, it is therefore a solid piece of kit.
Bloke
For Sporting clays, the Benelli Supersport is pretty damn good. I second that!!
wildfowler.250
Xtrema 2. What's so good about the maxus? Its 3.5 chamber yes? May look at getting one but I could get an xtrema 2 for not much more second hand
