Blunderbuss
Trapping grey squirrels to protect reds, wildfowling and lamping rabbits on a golf course with Harris hawks. All in one episode. All very brief coverage and I'm no big fan of BBC editorial policy as a rule, but credit where its due. Nice to see a bit of balance for a change

liamp79
Took me by surprise too! Couldnt believe it. Quite good coverage of field sports and not completely biased. Well done the BBC (for once)

Aled
Yes i agree on the whole positive, but is it now illegal to hunt rabbits (im aware of the fox ban) with dogs in Scotland? Cheers Aled
webber
I agree, it was a good programme, but even Julia Bradbury could convinse me that it was greys one side and reds the other of that 10ft. wide track. webber
rascal_2005
they guy with the harris said thats its illigal to hunt rabbits with dogs! what the hell?? also you never see the shooting on there they talk the talk but never show walking the walk. al4x
last night, it was ok as a program but promoting wildfowling and going out of season and putting decoys out without a gun was pretty pointless. Then a dartmoor pony piece about shooting them for lion food was pretty useless and then to follow it up with lamping rabbits with a hawk and obviously making so much noise you didn't see any just meant it had epic fail written all over it. Sadly I've got to go to a party next weekend where one of the part time producers will be there. I struggle to talk to her at the best of times as she hates shooting so I always end up drunk and arguing then in trouble with the missus

Totally agree I feel if a non shooter was watching it they wouldn't have realised they were going shooting to be honest oh well least it wasn't too negative
UKPoacher
As already said by others; what is the point of wldfowling out of season and trying to film a hawk hunting at night? I felt sorry for the wildfowler having to lug that club foot along. It is trying to address the country sports audience without upsetting the antis and as such it falls well short as usual.
